Gardasil

Hi,
I got one shot of Gardasil recently. Now after reading certain articles, I'm not sure I should have since Gardasil was only studied for about 3-4 years and no one knows the long term effects. I'm beginning to think I should not follow through on the next two shots because I'm worried that perhaps there will be side effects that have not come up yet but may in the next few decades. If so, would it help that I stop now with one shot? Would future side effects, if any, be less damaging if I got one shot instead of three? Or is it too late?

Don't feel bad cause you have second thoughts. If your doubt is strong enough, go with your gut feeling, but talk to your caregiver first to see if there are any severe side effects with stopping your treatment.

It's a relatively new drug, so yes it's right to question it. But please practice safer sex to protect yourself.

Me, I'm waiting to see how the cookie crumbles, and society honestly shouldn't just believe 100% of what they're being told anyways. Whether it's from the right-wingers or from those who support it. The FDA hasn't even approved it yet.

So always take that into consideration in the future.

There is tons of right wing propaganda out on the web that will tell you the terrors of Gardasil.  Having low risk HPV and all the painful treatment that accompanies it, I would take POSSIBLE Gardasil side effects any day over going through this again.   Every medicine/vaccination has side effects, it is simply an everyday risk in life.  It's up to you to decide how comfortable you are with this.  The statistics I found list having severe side effects as a relatively uncommon occurrence.  It is ultimately up to you if you decide to proceed or not.  Personally, I would.
