Genital Wart outbreaks for 7 years

Hi,

I'm a male who has been suffering with genital warts outbreaks for over 6-7 years...

I have done a ton of research on the subject of HPV.  I was first diagnosed with HPV genital warts back in 2006 when I was 23/24.

When I first went to my general practitioner doctor back in 2006 when I had 1 wart on my penis shaft, the idiot said to leave it and it would go away. After about 6 months it didn't and then I had a further outbreak of more at the base of my penis.

Anyway, over the years I've gone to the free clinic near where I live and I've had numerous Podophillin/Freezing treatments and they used to get rid of the warts for a while but then they come back eventually.  The longest I've been without warts is roughly about a year.

The outbreaks I have had in the last 2/3 years seem to be a lot smaller, almost hardly noticable, I only know what to look for because I use a magnifying glass and I can see the tiny more clearly.  They have been confirmed at the clinic each time so I'm not being paranoid.

I've tried the full 4 month course of Aldara recently after a recent outbreak but this had no affect whatsoever, I didn't even have any skin reaction or anything, I just felt a bit tired with flu like symptoms so I don't think I will take it again.

It seems here in the UK and across most western medicine practices, they just treat the visible signs of infection without addressing the underlying immunity (or lack of) cause.  I believe my problem is my body's cell-mediated response, it seems it has never really shut down this virus.

Has anyone heard of using Tagamet to boost cell-mediated activity?  I hear it has helped kids overcome normal and genital warts. I've ordered some and I'm self medicating at 600mg with a view to increasing for a maximum of 2-3 months.  I've read about adults who have had success and this drug can help activate cell-mediated activity to clear the virus.

I rarely get ill or allergies but I think my cell-mediated activity is malfuncitoning and I need something to boost my immune system.

I also hear Dr Ian Frazer, creator of Gardasil is also working on a therapeutic form of the Gardasil vaccine, when this will be ready and approved for use though is anyone's guess.  I guess I'll have to wait until I'm 40 or something.

All the docs tell me to just persist with the normal treatments of freezing but I feel these don't address the problem of immunity.

In addition no matter what anyone says, it's very hard to start a relationship with these warts around. Over the years I've had 10 sexual partners, some casual, some gf's, always when the warts aren't around and I've been clear for a long while. Is it more likely that I have caught another strain of the virus?

Anyway, I've decided to be celibate until I meet someone I want to have a long-term relationship with I don't want to pass anything on to anyone else and I don't want to catch any other strains of the HPV virus. I feel like until I can go 6 months without an outbreak there's really no point even dating someone. The whole experience has really made me scared now of going with anyone, obviously warts aren't that serious and I'm also afraid of all the other more serious things you can catch.

If any doctor or anyone with any useful advice is reading this I'd like your opinion on whether my immune system can fight the virus. Am I the 1-2% of the rare people who will get outbreaks for the rest of their life?

I found out I had genital warts in April. long story short, I tried all the medicine, as you can name it and taking all the vitamins. By far, I think Veregen cream + Podofilox gel work for the best, after veregen cream for weeks then warts will change its form, after that I start using podofilox gel to attack them.  Now I still have few left but I'm confident that I will kill them in weeks.

BAKING SODA/ POWDER

After months of suffering with GW, trying and (very, very painfully) failing to have them removed (burnt off), and scouring the internet for remedies, I found one entry on a really old forum which said to use Baking soda (also known as Bi-carbonate soda) as a treatment and holy f*** it works!
Method-
*Repeat every second day*
After you shower (or just wet the affected area), use a cotton bud (q-tip) and roll it in baking soda and apply it onto the wart(s). Then just sleep on it and that's all! WARNING- will itch/burn like hell for a bit but it's so worth it for the speedy results.
Fun fact- Bi carbonate soda is a disinfectant cleaning agent 100% safe and what is does is it dries out the wart which will make it fall off
I really hope this helps because it was a miracle discovery for me

I'm a 50 year old male that contracted hpv in my voice box and genitals. I've had over 14 operations on my voice box that has resulted in a seriously raspy voice due to scarring. Recently, i heard about AHCC and Apple Cider Vinegar and their affect on the disease. I'm taking 6 tablets every morning on an empty stomach... and a quick swipe of acv on my gentials. Also gargling avc once a day. I'm seeing results after 2.5 weeks.. truly! AHCC is very new and the testing so far by a lab in Texas is very encouraging. Apparently it may be able to completely eradicate HPV out of your system in 3-6 months.  AHCC comes from the Shitake mushroom and is has huge value in Japan to fight off diseases and build a strong immune system. WORTH A TRY. Check out the info available on google. I will post again after 3 months.

Hello everybody,

All your stories sound painfully familiar. I've been struggling for a long time too. My immunity is compromised due to Lupus too, so my fight seemed hopeless... nothing seemed to work. This summer I tried this new product. It's a cream called Veregen and it's made from green tea extract. It did wonders for me, although it was complete horror using it. I had only 1 small mother queen wart left on my perineum and 3 hardly visible ones around them. When I started using the cream, suddenly they seemed to spread all over. I was warned that any existing (invisible under the skin) ones, would start showing... these are the ones that are left untreated and cause a new outbreak. But it were sooo many!! In a weeks time they got bigger and very painful. I panicked, went to my gynea. He didn't know the cream and told me to stop using it and let him remove all of them under general anaesthesia the next week. After 3 days of discontinuing the cream, only the mother queen and the 3 other small ones were left, so I called of the surgery. Compared to Aldara and everything else I tried, this cream finally really seemed to impact the warts, so after consulting my doctor, I decided to give it another try. The next week I started again, with the same reaction. They seemed to be everywhere!! At least 30 of them, not just on my perineum, but my whole private zone. This time I pushed trough... giving myself a one or two day break from the cream after 4 days or so when the pain was to bad. After 7 days they most had gotten hard and some of them black. In the following 3 days they started falling of. The mother queen was one of the last to go. It had gotten much bigger and fell out like some evil black rice grain, leaving a small whole, like a pulled tooth. I was afraid the small whole would be visible forever, but it completely disappeared. I have baby skin again, everywhere. When this one was out I stopped treatment, cause I couldn't take it any more. After a week I started again for the few small ones left much further away from my perineum. Again much more came and about 10 days later all of them were gone. Now I have no scaring anywhere and I truly hope I "processed" all of them, so no new outbreaks will follow... I do have itching, maybe because the skin is still in healing mode??

Hope this horror story is useful to someone out there. Sorry for the bad english.
