Genital wart on male

Hi there,
I am a 33 year old male, I have had 2 partners in my life.. one when i was 16 and the other i met when i was 17 and have been married to her since 2001.  We were infertile and couldnt have a baby so we went through AI..
I now at this age have got a small pea oval shaped "wart" on the underside of my penis.  I just noticed it a month ago. Not painful . its skin colored, and soft.  Could this be HPV wart?  My wife has never been diagnosed with HPV but wondering if the donors we used with aritificial insemiation carried it to us?  It was a possibility when we were doing these treatments...

I don't think that fertility treatments could be found to have been a source of transmission. HPV is spread via skin to skin gential contact not via fluid exchange.

I agree, see a dermatologist and ask for a biopsy so you know what you are dealing with rather than worry. :)

I guess it's possible if they said it is.  What I'd do is go into the doctor and have them biopsy it.  That way you'll know for sure whether it's HPV or not.  Don't let them simply visually inspect it if you really want to know.  It's no big deal really as you are in a stable monogomous relationship and if it is a wart then your wife must have it by now any way.  But the first step is really knowing for sure and that's only done by biopsy.  I'd do that and go from there.
