Genital wart treatment for male. Help!

I just recently discovered I have genital warts I got when I was stupidly unfaithful which I greatly regret. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex before I knew and I'm so worried about him. He's 30 now and I'd like to know if he can still be vaccinated to protect him with the hpv or is it too late? If not are there other ways for him to be protected? Also a week ago he had this red spot on his shaft which stings but is now healing and we just pushed it aside thinking it was nothing. Is it related with my genital warts? Or another std has developed?

The vaccine is only good for people under 26.  There have not been any studies for people older than that. Besides, he is sexually active and its pointless. It takes 3-12 months past a sex act for genital warts to appear. So if you had sex with your BF during that time, you infected him. Or he infected you and he can't see his warts because they are under the skin.  At this point, you two should assume that you share the same strain of this virus., assuming it is HPV.  See a dermatologist asap. Ask for one bump to be removed and biopsied so you learn the strain and confirm that it is HPV. Get rid of the warts and stop sex until they are gone because having sex causes more warts or causes your warts to not go away. Your highest priority is getting healthy again. Most people wait 3-6-9-12 months before they have sex again. The range is long but not having warts is most important. Avg wait time is 3-6 months. If you smoke cigs, stop. It is known to slow down the recovery. If you drink, cut down too. Being super healthy right now is more important than anything else while you recover.

I already went to the doctor and it is genital warts, prescribed me aldara for it. My boyfriend and me broke up after i told him about my gw so I wont be having sex longer than the average waiting time. Thanks for the insight, its very helpful.
