HPV-MALE-Clearence

Hi, since there i snot a lot of research or information for men with HPV i figured i would ask here on the online forums.

Im a male recently diagnosed with HPV-genital wart kind. I wanted to know that if the virus itself will ever clear up. I understand that the virus can stay in you body forever but I've seen analogies of this virus compared to chicken-pox. You always have it but it stays dormant or just never shows up again.

Honestly, reading that this virus is not a big deal and that it clears up eventually by our immune system makes me feel a lot better.

So is it actually possible that we can go back to being "normal" without warts? That we can actually "clear" ourself of these symptoms and ultimately maybe even the virus itself?

Like i said, i understand that we may have the virus for a lifetime but that doesn't mean that it will ever cause warts again since we developed some sort of anti-bodies to it.

All warts are HPV.

Male.

I suspected some bumps. My doc says they could be warts, but look benign (harmless, nothing to worry about). I am not concerned since I am not sexually active, for now. My career currently makes relationships impossible. I also quit casual sex after finding out about HPV.

Thanks for your input. All warts are hpv? i was under the impression that HPV is a std that causes genital warts not any other type of warts.

If you don't mind me asking. Are you a male or female? and have you ever had any genital warts?

Yes. Like you said, once you had the Chicken Pox, you always have it and it's such a low level that no one can tell. Your warts will disappear. You don't walk on a busy New York street and identify everyone who had Chicken Pox right? Because you cannot tell. Same thing with most wart cases.

I had a wart on my thumb last Fall. It's all gone. Cannot see it. All warts are HPV. That HPV wart is with me all the time but no one can tell. No worries.
