HPV Transmission

So I contracted HPV about 4 years ago from an ex who told me she was tested for everything and was clean. Great. Well she wasn't and about 4 months after we broke up I noticed bumps around my genitals. Only about 8-10 little white fleshy colored bumps. I went to a dermatologist and was checked out. It was Hpv and I had them immediately frozen off. I went back one month later for a follow-up and a couple of re-freezes. They ended up going away and now almost 4 years later with out ever having any outbreaks or signs. My girlfriend is cool with the whole thing and we practice safe sex. She has not performed oral sex on me yet and we are wondering what her risks would be of contracting anything orally if at all. I am 27 and she is 23. I have heard so many different answers I dont know who to believe. Also I did perform oral sex for the girl that I contracted the Hpv from and never had an oral breakout or any sign in my mouth of anything.

yes they can be transmitted orally from genitals to genitals and i've read rarely do folks get them in the throat..mainly women for the oral sex factor having lots of penises in there....listen to ur gyno...she is on the $$ with what she is telling you...fours years gone and no outbreaks is good so proceed with ur lives!::)))

Okay, well does that mean that genital warts arent transmitted orally? Would it not be tranfered orally since I never got it from performing oral sex? Her gyno said that since I havent had a break out in almost 4 years it has probably been faught off by my body and we shouldn't worry about it and that it may never show up again. We are worried about her contracting Hpv orally. Should we be? We are both active and in good shape if it matters.

if u 2 have been monogomous with each other for the past few years..and u've had no outbreaks there should not be a problem.genital warts are what they say ...genital...and some of the pics i've seen of women loaded with oral/throat HPV warts must have tons of partners be street hookers not use condoms and looked like worn out drug addicts with lowered immune systems and poor healthcare.if u want to be really safe use a dental dam or condoms to alleviate the anxiety of not using them.
