HPV from hand job?

My husband and I were virgins when we began dating and have been married for six years.  No sexual/genital contact of any kind with any previous partners ever before we started our relationship.  We had kissed other people on the lips but that was it.  Last year I had an abnormal pap smear and tested positive for HPV. Since no other person had ever touched me in any way other than my husband I asked him if he cheated. He confessed he got a hand job in a public rest room from another man four years ago.  I am hurt he cheated on me and unsure if this is the full story. Could he get HPV from just a hand job?  The guy did spit on his hand as a 'lubricant' and may have touched his genitals prior to giving my husband his hand job.  I don't know if my husband is still lying or if I can trust him or should give up and get a divorce.  I've had a second abnormal pap smear and am fearful the HPV he gave me is now cancer.  So could a man get HPV from one hand job?

Pls be careful of replies from medhelp public forum. i think most ppl dont know what they are talking about. hvp viruses have tropism in the anogenital areas, including oral regions.  if a person is infeccted, then the areas mentioned could harbor viruses shed by infected cells. so the saliva/bodily fluids likely contain infectious virions looking for new host. so, saliva used for handjob CAN transmit infective hpvs shed from an infected host
