HPV transmission? Or thinking too much

This afternoon I fell down and had a huge abrasion on the back of my palm, it was bleeding and oozing out clear pus. About an hour later, I went for boxing training. The gym that I go to provides communal boxing gloves which everyone uses and so did I. I noticed that the glove that I used was damp and moist inside, indicating that someone had just used it no more than 30 mins ago which was the previous class.

At first did not think much of it but now I'm starting to get worried that there might be viruses like HPV and Herpes inside the gloves that spread into my open abrasion. Any comments or advice?

Thanks a lot

Im no hpv expert but id say no chance you can get it this way. Otherwise almost everybody who goes to a boxing gym or attends exercise classes would have it. Maybe in future when you hit the bag use your own gloves. Maybe even possible for sparing also. Im guessing you already wrap your hands.
