I have checking my penis for 16 months!!!

dear doctors:
i have a protected sex with my girlfriend last year, it has been 16 month. She told me she had gential warts. So i am very very worrying about that i may have a hpv infection. I am always checking my penis and asked many doctors, they all told me that i was healthy because there is no gential warts and 15 months have passed. So my question is:
1 Do i still need to worry about the gential warts? 16 months can surely pass the hpv infection?
2 Some doctors said that if you didn't find gential warts in three months, you may don't have to worry about the infection. However, some doctors say 6 months is safety and accuracy. Some even said that although many people can find gential warts in 3 months, gential warts can appear after 20 months. Whom should i believe?
3 I am tired of worrying about gential warts, i always thinking that i may be the one of 16 months and 20 months. Please help me get rid of gential warts. thanks very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah but just because there are no genital warts does not mean your body did not get infected and then successfully fight the virus so that there were no symptoms (warts). There are millions of people who are walking around with HPV and do not know it because they have no warts. Especially men since they cannot be tested. Some warts are not visible to the naked eye. Your ex may not have been infectious when you dated her. Or she was. This is why playing detective with this virus is impossible.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
The average incubation period, which begins immediately after the initial sexual contact with an infected person, is usually two to three months but can range from one to 20 months.
In 90% of cases, the body’s immune system clears HPV naturally within two years.  But, sometimes, HPV infections are not cleared and can have HPV even if years have passed since he or she had sexual contact with an infected person.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
