HPV16 - itching - any connection?

I'm a 30yo male. I have been diagnosed with HPV 16 (confirmed with genetic tests) a while ago during a standard checkup, I didn't have any symptoms. I had a lot of tests for other STDs and came up clean but from few weeks ago I started feeling some itching sensation around the tip of my penis. It is not exactly the same spot every time. Sometimes it is 1 milimeter inside urethra, sometimes it is closer to bridle (not sure about the word). It is very mild and sometimes requires some scratching... nothing more.

I repeated all the standard STD tests and nothing came up (except for the HPV 16) with nothing. I wonder if the two can be related.

Q:
Is my body fighting the virus, and these are the side effects?
Is the virus developing into something worse?
Is it totally unrelated?

Some people may experience itching or chronic pain around the genital openings, even if there are no warts present.

you had a genetics test for HPV? Can you elaborate on that please? I was under the impression that there is no test for men for hpv.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
This can be due to allergic reaction or due to dermatitis skin. Other possibility is of prostatitis. You can take some oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps.

For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid. But they are available under prescription and should be taken only after consulting a doctor. Also wear cotton clothes.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
