High Risk HPV

I have high risk HPV. I was recently tested for low risk and that is negative. Can HR cause warts? Can my partner get HPV from me having HR?

My doctor has told me on multiple occasions that my partner can't get it because the HR affects the cervix and he doesn't have one, obviously since he's a man. My partners doctors keep telling him he can get warts and throat cancer and whatever else comes with it. There is so much on the web and it can get very confusing. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
High-risk HPV can also cause cancers of the anus, penis, vagina and vulva. There is growing evidence that high-risk types may also be involved in some cancers of the mouth and throat. Hence they can be transmitted by unprotected oral and vaginal sex. HPV can be transmitted through skin-to-skin sexual contact, whether or not there is penetration.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
