How did I get HPV that caused CIN3?

Hello everyone!
I have a question about HPV and CIN3. I have CIN3 and I am taking a LEEP procedure on 27th of May. But, my question is: How did I get the HPV that caused CIN3? I am married for three years, before that I had a relation with my husband (than boyfriend) for six years, so, nine years with the same partner... My husband doesn't have any problems connected with HPV. I do regular check-ups, PAP smears, for years, and the last one I made before the one that suggested that I have CIN3 showed Atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance (ASC-US), taht was one year before the "CIN3 PAP". Before that all my PAP smears were ok. I had a stressful year (2013), preparing master thesis, operation (removing ovarian cysts), moving to another house, family issues, so my immune system was not in the best condition and that was good for the HPV to develop and to cause CIN3, but how did I get the HPV and how it caused CIN3 so rapidly (one year)? What are the other ways of getting HPV, if we exclude the sexually transmitted one. If anyone knows something more about this, please answer to my post, I would really appreciate it! Thank you in advance!

Thank you for your answer to my post! I understand everything that you explained, but I still don't understand how I got it, or how my husband got it... Have a nice day and take care!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
The virus spreads through skin-to-skin contact with the penis, scrotum, vagina, vulva, or anus of a person who has the HPV infection. Scientists now think that the HPV infection that clears up on its own remains dormant in your body.  it can stay dormant or it can come back again.  Why it comes back isn't exactly known.  Hence it is very hard to say when you got the infection.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
