Getting rid of genital warts

I have HPV and just recently started experiencing some pretty bad symptoms. I know that HPV cannot be cured (unless the body becomes immune to the virus) but I would like to get rid of my warts. I went to the gyno and got some of it removed.  However, it has just gotten worse.  The procedure was extremely painful and expensive and it really didn't make much of a difference.  How can I get rid of my genital warts at home? I read that you can use apple cider, is this true? Has anyone used an effective method? I seriously cannot take this anymore.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the advice...that is actually very helpful because I know I need to take preventative measures to avoid having to deal with yet another recovery process.  It sounds like natural remedies would be worth a shot.  I am definitely mentally preparing myself for another outbreak and I am already starting to see some minor growths.  I am hoping to not have to go through the procedure again but I think it might be unavoidable.  As far as your new boyfriend...I have a boyfriend too and I feel insecure as well.  Luckily, he has been very supportive and doesn't see it as a big deal (as far as being sexual with me).  I know this is cliche, but I would hope that any mature person who really cares about you isn't going to get too freaked out about it.  Good luck and update me if you come across anything new that works for you...I will do the same!

Hi ilysebel,

I forgot to mention that you can use a solution of Tea Tree oil and sweet Almond oil-10 drops of tea oil to 20 drops Sweet Almond oil and apply it with a cotton bud 3 times daily to each wart. I have been using aromatheraphy oils for years and this is a treatment that actually works from the outside in and DOES work, thought it can take up to six weeks to work, but the good news it that it does work.

Ive started using it myself, as i had my warts frozen off and more have arrived, so i desperate to get rid of them, it has also been noted that the oil have anti-viral properties and can shorten the life of the HPV too, not medically proven but has been documented with Aromatheraphists. Its worth a try, remember that more warts can develop after any treatment as the virus is a long term virus, approx 2 years in duration and you can have new warts at any time during this, but usually you stop developing them after 6 months. Get yourself really healthy, loads of multi-vitamins and minerals and if you smoke then STOP, warts love smokers. i would recommend Well Woman and Berocca, taken together as my chemist has told me this is ok as the Berocca is water soluble. Also take a Garlic table too as this is know to boost the bodies natural immunity to the fight the warts. This is the only home remedy that i am aware of that actually works, google a reputable aromatheraphy site and it will give you full details of what to do.

Best of luck.

Just thought I would update this post in case anyone with the same issue is reading...my gyno ended up suggesting laser surgery because my outbreak was so bad. They put me to sleep and when I woke up the warts were gone!  The healing process took about 2 weeks and my insurance covered most of it.  I do not see any visible scarring...this solution worked for me and I would definitely recommend it to other people.

Thank you for the advice.  I will speak to my doctor...I don't want to waste time on buying products online that will not actually work.

Unfortunately there are not home remedies that are effective. There are several options available from your doctor though including medication, freezing, and acid application. Discuss your options and hopefully you will find one that is less painful, more affordable, and more effective.
