Is doctor's advise correct?

Yesterday I went to an Sti clinic to get 3 small genital warts frozen off. The doctor said he had been treating stis and researching infectious diseases for 30 years. He advised me the following:

No sex for 3-6 months after warts

If no warts during this time, immune system has indefinately cleared virus.

10% chance reoccur later late, but very unlikely.

3 months after warts gone, pretty much certainly not infectious. 95% of viral cells within the warts.

After this period, may have unprotected sex (however always would advise protected with unknown / status of partner)

Do Not at all need to tell future partners. They would not be at risk.

I strongly queried these points and he said he was very sure. He has been doing this a long time. This is not a case of moral ignorance but more fact based.

I've also read of others having been told the exact same things by their doctors within the past year. These direct doctoral opinions do however deviate slightly from the general info on the internet.

Do any informed medical professionals here have any insight or opions on these statements?

I will say...how would you want your future partners to behave in the same situation? Would you want to be told?
