Me and HPV

I had my Pap smear done in March of this year and my doctor said I had it... I was high-risk... and she also told me not to worry about it because my body can cure it... BUT she didnt tell me if I had the HPV that caused Genital Warts... I think I saw on a website that low-risk causes the warts and high-risk causes pre-cancerous cells? Is this correct? Because I have a bump on my vulva that i'm nervous about... but I do remember that the bump has been there for years even before I started having sex. So can anybody verify that the information I wrote above is correct? Do I have the HPV that causes warts?

She told me that she couldnt do anything because I was 18 at the time (now i'm 19)... but she told me not to worry about it and that it should clear itself... She told me to come back in a year...

yea high risk HPV is the cancer causing strand. most women do clear the virus on their own.... did she want to do a biopsy? coloskpy? anything?...... dont think you have the warts one, you would more then likely have visible warts.... did she set you up with another pap in about 6 months?
