Oral Infection?

i have a friend who i havee kissed just recently, i brought up the topic of HPV becaues i myself have it and told him we couldnt have sex... he then returned to tell me that he had a wart on his lip once without performing oral sex with another partner... the closest thing he had to contact with a wart is chewing on one on his finger ...i was wondering if that is a possible way of catching a wart, or if he is possibly lying................. i dont think he was breaking out at the time... because he's only ever had that one break out of one wart... unless again he is lying... if i am at risk for it in case he was lying how long does it usually take for oral warts to start forming on myself?

ppl don't get genital warts on their lips....there called genital for they r located on the genitals....the incidence of sezually transmitted warts on the lips is rare in the US......u'd hafta be quite the ho performing a LOT of unprotected oral sex with infected partners over quite a period of time to get them!warts on fingers r not sexually transmitted either generally speaking.....u r worrying for nothing!takes anywhere for gential warts to appear 3-12 months after xposure to infected carrier.
