Hello, it is an individual perspective. However, I believe nature has answer for every question.. Infact there are various herbs such as Thuja, Echinacea, Hypericum Mysorense, monolaurin, and Reishi Extracts that can be helpful.. It is from experience with many patients having HPV that I am suggesting.. You may opt for a combination of these herbs with homeopathic formulations would be beneficial to boost your immune system in a correct way!
Well, I have had a reoccurence, So I don't know whos infomation is correct or incorrect or if they where never treated properly. But I'm really depressed in my life and this is just another thing i didn't really need
I hate life
As long as the virus doesn't manifest itself, I'm fine with that. I had genital warts 15 years ago, I was able to treat them and I haven't had any problems ever since.
hey Griever, once again man thanks for ur posts. I read the whole thing frm Dr.H.. totally made me feel hope which seems to come and go alot lately 4me w evrything else goin on. Keep in the fight man..and talk 2 u soon., JAke =]
I'll post a link here that has a Q&A session by Dr. Handsfield. Its very informative and a good read.
Since there really isn't a test for HPV in men besides the visual diagnosis , we can't really know for sure if we have gotten rid of the virus thus being no longer contagious.
Dr. H states that if after 6 months there have been no recurrences then we can consider ourselves cured. Also, that with time of having no recurrences the viral load is so insufficient that we cannot transfer it anymore. We might still indefinitely have some of the virus in our bodies but it would be too weak to replicate itself or just not be there at all.
Personally, i would say that you're not contagious anymore. Heres the link i was talking about:

You should be good to go bro, good luck with everything
Am I still contagious i guess is another question?
I had 3.
I dont have any visitable warts.
I haven't seen any in 5+ years.
I got the 3 of them burned off. 1 never really went away after it got froze. but about 5 months after the freezing, it went away on its own.
Don't think he's a female so i wouldn't worry about the paps lol.
Yea man they go away, and yes your immune system has the ability to eradicate the HPV. Don't take it from me or any other user on this website, were not medically licensed to give you a concrete answer.
However, after doing some research you will learn that your body has either put the virus in a stage where it is suppressed or it has barely any viral DNA to replicate itself to creat "more outbreaks" or warts.
Dr. Handsfield on this website states that if you have not had any outbreaks in 6 months you can consider yourself "cured".
Everybody is different, meaning the way their body deals with a virus is different from how another person deals with a virus. You say that you have not had an outbreak in 5 years. I think its safe to say your body has taken care of it.
by the way, how many warts did you have at your initial outbreak? I'm curious
The HPV virus is much like getting the chicken pox. You will never get rid of the virus from your system but most likely your body will get a handle on it an it will remain dormant for the rest of your life. Regardless it is a very slow moving virus so getting your yearly or so pap done should keep you healthy.
Do you still see any genital warts?
For how long have you NOT seen it?
If you could provide us some answers, we might be able to try and conclude something. Don't worry, it does clear for most people.
