Ok,
I know that HPV is only supposed to be spread by sexual contact but I would like to present several scenarios and possibly people could tell me why they wouldnt be possible or at the very least extremely unlikely. They seem likely to me...
Man or woman with genital warts goes to public washroom, touches genital wart while using the loo, when leaving, touches door hinge to open door. Next person goes to washoom shortly after, touches latch on stall handle to close it thereby getting hpv on hand. Uses same hand to possibly scratch an itch in/on genitals and in the process grinds the virus into tiny tears in skin OR has sex later that day/evening thereby grinding the virus in so to speak
other scenario, man or woman sits naked on locker room bench, other sits on same bench several minutes later naked. Then proceeds to scratch itch, urinate and/or have sex as above.
I can think of several other scenarios involving towels, facecloths etc.
The MSDS for HPV quotes "SURVIVAL OUTSIDE HOST: HPV is resistant to heat and drying, and is able to survive on inanimate objects such as clothing and laboratory equipment that have come in contact with infected patients, although the precise survival time is unknown(1,11). " see

additionally, think how easy it is to get warts on your feet after walking through a swimming pool area or something warts = HPV
Your thoughts??????
