Treating Genital wart with acid, anyone done that before?

Hello, I two of my GW treated with acid yesterday. My doctor didn't say much, well four hours later when i went to wash it off, the areas around the two GW turned a greyish colour  ( in the shape of a circle, cuz she dabbed on with a q-tip). Does anyone know if this is normal? What will happen next and when will the coloured area of my skin return to normal?

Thank you so much

Ya you will. Don't worry. Everyone's warts go away. And thank you for the information in regards to scars. Ya I am pretty sure the discolouring will go away sooner or later ( as skin regenerates itself).

Yeah, just bank on it all going away.  I was so freaked out last November at the scars I had and now they are gone.  Now I'm just trying not to worry about the new ones.  God, I hope I had my last treatment.  I cannot wait to have gone six months without a visit.  That will be a new era in excitement.  Good luck to you as well.

Thank you. I am so pissed now because i was getting treated by my dermo. ( didn't turn the skin around it grey), and since i went in the hospital for my biopsy the doctor asked if i wanted to treat the warts as well since im already there, so I said yes. I already booked an appointment with my dermatologist too for tomorrow. I guess it is just unpleasant looking at it, but im sure it will go back to normal, it has to because i dun think warts treatment can leave your skin that messed up. Nobody would get treated if thats the side affect.

Most likely it will return to normal in a few to several weeks, possibly more.  I've had the same fears with electrocauterization -the treated area turned bright white for a while, still got one set yet from two or three weeks ago.  Just hang tight and the skin will bounce back 100% or if not 100% then close enough to it where noone will notice.  Hope this helps.
