What's REALLY going on?

When I was about 14 I got the gaurdasil vaccinations. I am now 18 and was diagnosed with HPV about 4 months ago when I was still 17.
The first doctor I went to told me I contracted multiple different strains of HPV, including high risk HPV. I did not contract any strains that cause genital warts. She said I had squamous cells on my cervix, and that they would turn into precancerous cells and that I would develop cancer. She said we could treat it for some time and then after some time I would have to get a hysterectomy. She assured me this WOULD happen. Not maybe or probably.
I went to anther gynecologist for a second opinion. She looked at my medical file without even taking a pap smear, and assured me I had nothing to worry about. She assured me that unless I was worried about an infection, I shouldn't get another pap smear til I'm 21. She told me that since I'm young, my body would fight off the virus, and I would not develop cancer, and my fertility would not be affected.
Having these two drastically different opinions is very terrifying. Who do I listen to? What should I do? I am terrified if not being able to have children.

I would ask your Dr about taking AHCC and probiotic BB12. AHCC is being studied as a potential cure for hpv. Don't just take it research it and ask your Dr first if you decide to do it.  It's sold over the counter at your vitamin shops.

There are over a 100 different strains of hpv including the low risk strains that cause warts. First you will always have hpv it will not go away on its own.  It can go back to being dormant in your body but you will always have it.  You need to see your gyno every 6 months to a year and I highly recommend a hysterectomy possibly after you have children.  I don't see why you still can't have kids.  I have hpv I have a low risk strain I do not have warts and I have abdormal cells I have to get tested again in a year and I'm most Def getting a hysterectomy after and if I have children.  You're not alone you'll be ok. Just stay healthy cardio can help fight off infection and load up on vitamins.good luck to you.

The vaccine only protects you from the 4 most popular strains of the virus. There are over 40 strains!  Yes that first doctor is out of her/his mind. To scare you like that is criminal. Being young and healthy is good to fight it off. So is leading a very healthy lifestyle (no smoking, reduced alcohol intake, exercise, vitamins, lots of rest, reduced stress, etc). Anyone can make themselves "cleared" which means you may never be infectious again. Or you may. No one really knows but the odds are that for most people this is a transient disease.
