HPV and acne

I contacted HPV even though my partner always used a condom.  I've only been with three people, so you can imagine my shock when I found out.  I had to undergoe a LEEP procedure last March to remove my precancerous cells, and thankfully, my paps have been clear since then.  I was wondering, however, if there is a link between HPV and acne breakouts.  Shortly before I was diagnosed my face developed several cystic pimples and blackheads/whiteheads.  I have never had a problem with acne before.  I struggled with this problem for almost a year.  I recently finished a prescription for minocycline, which helped tremendously.  Any info that you may have would be much appreciated.

I'd be careful before making blanket assumptions about HPV given the vast amount of science that has gone into studying this virus. On a public forum where people are on edge already, making claims that HPV may be linked to breast cancer too can be alarmist. Just a thought.

This forum has given me some hope.
Contracted this mess around 20 years ago. Pre-internet.
I went to the doctor when this first came up, was a small bump on base of my penis, doctor said it was acne.. grr. Thank god I wore a condom... So in 96 I holed up at my folks house and became a hermit and lived in shame. I have a few warts at the base of my penis now... and some on my anus. The warts have went away on their own before, but have came back. They have been there for at least 14 years. Fun fun. I also get the acne on my face bout once a year, and the ingrown hair problem has been a problem for the full 20 years which is related to the over production of keratin the virus is causing our bodies to produce. My wife of 17 years is symptom free, though scared to death to get a pap... talk about stress.  I was wart free around my penis when we met  and was counting my chickens before they hatched. That in it's self is depressing and stressful, and have thought of doing some mighty bad things to myself because of it to be honest. God blessed me with a woman that loves me, but I'm afraid I have made her sick. I will be trying out quite a few of these ideas, along with sitting my wife down and discussing how we need to take care of this as a couple. HPV has controlled me for as long as I can remember, ready to break this before it kills me or her.
For something I think about every single day, I have just been too afraid to really look into the subject/do anything about it, as we live in a small town where everyone knows everyone. No health insurance is another kick in the nuts as well.

Please give this a try... there is big hope for you and killing this pain in the ***, go on YouTube for hpv cure... or oregano oil to see a doctor talk about the Mediterranean pure oil... this is where the real medicine is. God is there and western medicine can kiss my black *** hole. It kills all virus and parasites so if you are pregnant or plan to be do not do this internally. Thank you

Wow. I feel so much better after reading this!! I have had severe cystic acne breakouts since my HPV (high grade abnormal cells) dignosis. It's the worst acne I have ever experienced, and I'm 40!! I am definitely going to try some of the remedies posted here, thank you.

thanks for the hope and the persistance, ive (kinda) been in your shoes, and am suffering from this strange acne like crap, that comes often, stays and fissles away. its very defined, and looks like a bunch of pimples, no treatments have had any effect. ive had pimples befoe, and im pretty sure this aint the same.... daring to go that distance, and try these protocals out, after all, cancer patients and aids patients dont have much other choice. im happy to say im free of those woes, but its worth sharing this info to the few, with hopes that they share it with the many, and possibly get some results, finally!

Several minor chronic ailments that traditional doctors failed to remedy are either apparently cured or seriously on the way to recovery as a result of this device used in conjunction with the herbal supplements used with Dr. Clark's "parasite cleanse" protocol.

I purchased this device in an effort to find a solution for some health complaints my wife had. She's presented a number of symptoms over the years that has led her to believe she has had MRSA. Although this suspected bacterial infection has been mentioned up front with every single western medicine doctor's visit in the last several years, no specific effort to confirm it has been made. One medical bill was over $30,000. The followup from the most recent doctor directed test, informed us that the blood tests that were given would not test for MRSA.

Basically, western medicine is broken. I had a buddy a long while back who had HPV. He wanted to try the Fscan out, so we scanned the frequency range for HPV (Dr. Clark's chart of ranges in A Cure For All Diseases). We didn't get high MV's, but we did get hits in that range. We treated the peaks (hits), and also used the frequencies for treatment given in Clark's book. He was VERY happy to have been relieved of HVP wart outbreak within 48 hours. However, his wife returned from overseas, and at this point, some 4 weeks later, we cannot know if they returned, due to her reinfecting him, or not. Reinfection is a serious issue with these pathogens.

My fiance' battles the herpes simplex 1, and we had targeted the pancreas using the Fscan imprinter, and pancreas anatomy slide. After we got the pancreas clear, we used the skin anatomy slide. She has begun the Beck protocols, but we note that Dr. Bob Beck mentions in his lecture that Herpes may take up to 5 months to eradicate. I have thought of using the nerve anatomy slide for the imprinter or this plate zapping, but haven't done it yet. We are having great results so far against her cold sore, which has not fully outbroke this time... however, we are in middle of treatment for this right now, and actually more focused on preparing for her upcoming Liver Flush, which is her main priority number 1 right now, in addition to employing the Beck protocols. We might give the nerves a good zap toward the herpes simplex 1. You can see a number of hits on the Zapper Image folder fscan screen photos I took. I do not have HPV, or at least have not been diagnosed with it since the only way to test for it is an abnormal pap, but I have been experiencing breakouts for almost after getting my HPV vaccine. I feel like there is a link between the two seeing as I had very light breakouts after the first shot, then after the second I got worse breakouts where I was actually incredibly hesitant to get the third, but I talked myself into it since around that time I had been less than good at taking my birth control daily. After the third shot, my breakouts went whack on me and I now have the worst acne I've ever had in my life. There is no birth control I have used or can use to diminish, or even lighten the occurence of my breakouts. I very strongly believe that there is something linked between some, if not all the HPV virus strands that are to blame. I do know that with all vaccines, I was dosed with some of the virus, and since it is said to vaccinate you against 40+ of the virus strands I am almost certain based on the odds that I got a pimple factory somewhere in that shot. Those are my thoughts. Hope it helps others understand better. I will soon be going to a dermatologist to see if there is anything I can take orally or otherwise to reduce breakouts. Also, I would like to discourage anyone here from taking oral antibiotics to help with something as simple as acne. You could build an antibiotic resistance and if the time came where you really needed antibiotics, you couldn't get them/they would be ineffective. That is just a separate point I think you all should think about.

A very good alternative is neem leaf extract. It is really effective. Try it with a cotton ball and put the liquid on it and keep on the acne for 10 minutes or so. Reply if it worked. And I am also going to get ahcc capsules and try it

The short answer is a good one in that yes my "acne" cleared up completely but it took about two years and even after that I got a couple of suspicious breakouts.  The most recent one was just this past summer (2014.)

The longer answer is that since my last post in 2012 I tried some pretty extreme treatments to clear up the marks left over from my breakouts, salicylic acid, mayapple extract (don't try it!).

Luckily my skin healed perfectly from all but my last experiment with a Clearasil salicylic acid pad. Now I have a 1cm diameter hypopigmented scar near my hairline. Hopefully it'll tan in next summer.

Anyway, my point is to be patient, wait it out, and don't do anything too extreme that will cause scarring.

If you've got something like I got then you will clear up after 2 or 3 years from your first breakout.

I know that's hard to read but I hope it gives you some hope.

Certain HPV infections can cause reactions such as warts (common, plantar, subungual/periungual and flat) on the body. In very rare cases and with patients that are immunocompromised HPV may cause a condition called epidermodysplasia verruciformis. This virus, if left untreated, causes the overproduction of keratin in skin cells resulting in lesions that look like warts. For more information and a proper diagnosis you would have to be seen by a physician in your local area.

Psoriatic Acne

Psoriatic acne, also known as guttate psoriasis, really is not acne at all. It is not caused by excessive oil solidifying in a pore, like whiteheads or blackheads, or by the immune system’s attack on acne bacteria, like a pimple. Psoriatic acne is a collection of small, painless, salmon-colored pimples that appear on the back and chest, then the legs and thighs, and sometimes on the face, ears, and scalp. Children often get psoriatic acne around the anus, causing intense itching.

This form of acne usually occurs after an infection. The microorganism can be a fungus, such as yeast (Candida) or Malassezia (the fungus that causes seborrheic dermatitis) or a bacterium, especially Staphylococcus aureus. It can also be caused by HPV, the human papillomavirus, the same family of viruses that causes genital warts. The immune system becomes over-activated after the infection and causes the formation of tiny acne-like pimples.

Treatment of psoriatic acne usually involves treatment with steroids or UV-B light—which is not the same as the blue light used to treat common acne.

I just wanted to share my experience and add on to the HPV and acne correlation. I had unprotected oral from a prostitute 3 months ago, and within a month the skin on my penis head started to get wrinkly, and I started to get bumps on them. The bumps looked like they were under the skin, I can't remove them, it's weird. I suppose they're like fordyce spots. I was hoping this would just go away over time, but it got worse.
3 months later, the penis head is even more wrinkly, has even more of these under the skin bumps, and I discovered a genital wart(brown pin sized) on my left thigh. I discovered two more genital warts on my scrotum(brown, slightly bigger than pinsized), so now I know for sure it is HPV. I also have these flat warts all over the sides of my hip near both sides of my groin folds.
I've also been getting on and off fevers, and all of a sudden I've been getting acne on my back. Some look pretty big, almost like boils, but definitely not that big, just trying to give you guys an idea for comparison.
I'm also getting some flat warts on my face, under my chin.
Oh and I've also been getting pain in my urethra, most likely a urethral wart that I have to see the urologist for as well. Sigh

I will probably see the derm soon and I hope this all goes away within a year or two like people say.

I know you last posted a few years ago. I wasn't even going to comment for that reason, but I need to know how you are doing. did your "acne" ever clear up. I got hpv about a year ago, never got acne before in my life until I got hpv, I notice it's not normal acne at all and it's so hard for me not to pick at it even after a year of having it but as much as I want to, I don't pick at it. I've read an article saying this acne goes away in about 2 years and I'm really hoping that's true. I've also been going for a natural approach and have been going to a nutritionist that has supplied me with supplements that really made a great impact in the quality of my skin but it's still not perfect, some weeks are worse then others, some better than the last. I'm a makeup artist, so this is extremely hard for me to deal with. Why would anyone want to come to a makeup artist with a beard of zits. I try to stay strong but it's really difficult. I try to stay posotive and not let it control my life but some days it's a struggle. I want to know what has happened since you posted last. Please help.

I had acne for years.I tried every over the counter and homeopathic remedy known to man.I never had acne as a teenager so to develop it in my early twenties is embarrasing.I went to the doctor and had my hormones checked along with many other tests. The only thing he could diagnose me with is hypoglycemia. I would get a fever blister about twice a year. Then I started getting fever blisters about every two weeks. I went to the Doctor and begged for help. She prescribed me Acyclovir. I am please to say my fever blister and acne is gone and my face is finally healing. I don't know if this will work for you but It wouldn't hurt to try.

Oh and there were a few weeks before things cleared up when I was essentially doubling my whole regimen by taking everything but the zinc and the bluebonnet pills again in the evening, but I don't think that helped because I did that for weeks and nothing improved.  But then again maybe it just took that long to work.  Who knows? But my instinct says the doubling up didn't work.

I'm getting the Gardasil vaccine and yes I think the benefits of polysaccharides as antiviral agents are the basis of the recommendation of licorice tea to combat HPV.

The good news right now is that it seems that my infection has moved away from my face.  My skin has significantly cleared up and I haven't gotten any new painful warts in a couple of weeks. I do still have dark marks and scars that I’m dealing with but now that things have improved I’m amazed at how sick my skin was in retrospect.  I had an overall sickly, pink, inflamed pallor that is now gone.  The areas around my left temple and eyebrow have healed the best.  A couple of marks on my cheeks are the worst lingerers.  Those are from the warts that I didn't pop and let grow big and mature  (I am now pro-popping when it’s feasible for that reason).  I’m tired from holiday and family issues so this post isn't as organized or coherent as I imagined it would be but I will list everything in my regimen below, which I’m still continuing.  

I can tell you that for all my efforts my experience may not be that helpful to other sufferers for two reasons: first, I threw everything I could at my HPV infection so it’s impossible to say which single thing helped beat it back the most. And secondly, my first fever symptoms and facial wart manifested just about six months ago so according to standard medical boilerplate I’m inside the window of time for spontaneous clearance.  

But as you may have noticed I have not said I’m cured of HPV because I don’t think I am cured.  I have a few new, non-painful, acne like bumps in areas I never got them before.  One is on the back of my hand, one is on my belly, one is one the side of my neck mid-way between my collar bone and chin, and the other is on the shaft of my penis. Yea, I said it.  I’m beyond panicking about these things though.  All these new warts/pimples seem to be fading and they don’t hurt.  I got tested for HIV when I got the first HPV shot and I’m negative so I chalk these new bumps up to my lingering HPV infection.  Anyway here’s the list.

• Bluebonnet Targeted Multiples Men's Choice Caplets:  3 in the morning
• 50mg Zinc Sulfate by Windmill: 3-4 in the morning
• 99mg  Potassium Citrate by NOW Foods: 4 in the morning
• Red Marine Algae Veg Capsules by NOW Foods: 4 in the morning
• 500mg L-Lysine HCl by Windmill: 2 in the morning
• 400mg EGCg Green Tea Extract by NOW Foods: 3 in the morning
• Natural Omega III EPA + DHA Fish Oil Concentrate by Windmill: 3 in the morning & 3 in the evening (I’m thinking these will help with skin healing so I take more at night)
• 30c dulcamara from Boiron
• 30c calcarea carbonica from Boiron

The following items are newer additions to my regimen that preceded the recent clearing and improvements so if I had to guess, these turned the tide of the battle:

• 250mg Curcuminoid 95+ by Vibrant Health: 2 in the morning
• Immune Defense tablets by Vibrant Health: 2 in the morning
• 30x dulcamara soft tablets by Standard Homeopathic
• 30c calcarea carbonica from Boiron

Then I ran out of the calcarea but I read about berberis vulgaris so I ordered some berberis and more dulcamara so now I’m taking these instead:

• 30x dulcamara pellets by Standard Homeopathic
• 30x berberis vulgaris pellets by Standard Homeopathic

So my full and current list is everything listed above, minus the calcarea which ran out, but based on the timing of things I had reason to believe other things were already working before I started taking it.  

Notice I upped the dosage of the homeopathic medicines from 30c to 30x.  Who knows? If I had done that with the thuja months ago maybe I would have beat this back earlier.

The topical face treatments I've been using are the following:

• RMA soothing Ointment by Vibrant Health: for spot treatment of warts and wounds.  I also combined this with the contents of the 400mg EGCg Green Tea Extract pills to make a RMA/EGCg ointment that I covered with a band-aid for overnight treatments when a spot was looking bad and needed some healing

• Brave Soldier Antiseptic Healing Ointment: for spot treatment and healing help. I used to use Neosporin for the same thing.  Its jelly consistency may also be good for suffocating the HPV virus like some old remedies suggest.

• Vitamin A and Green Tea Crème by Derma E: I haven’t used this much but it seems like a good soothing face cream and I like the ingredient list

I've also been drinking at 1 or 2 cups of green tea a day instead of coffee during the week (it’s tougher to do on weekends and breaks).  Other than that I've been eating my usual diet which is pretty typical stuff except I never drink soda, drink lots of water, and never eat fast food from chains like McDonald’s, Wendy’s, etc.  (Don’t get me wrong, I love burgers but I live in NYC, fresh burgers made to order can be had from so many local places so why eat some weird homogenized corporate thing?)

So that’s it, all my internal and topical treatments are based on substantiated research so maybe they helped or maybe I've just spontaneously cleared…for now, who knows if that **** will come back again.  Not a scientifically satisfying conclusion but I’ll take what I can get.

I, too, have had problems with these horrible acne like pimples.  They are painful and tend to cluster around my temples, neckline/jawline, and hairline.  I stumbled upon this blog the other day while doing some research for work regarding sulfated polysaccharides as treatments for viral infections.  I remember several years ago having had a battle with cystic acne.  I never had trouble as a teenager.  I also remember having used a sulfur containing face mask with good results.  I  just went out two days ago and purchased a sulfur soap, and cream.  The bumps/cysts/acne, whatever you want to call them, have already started getting smaller, less painful, and some have already disappeared.  I must also mention that probably a week prior to this, I used a concoction of Dawn dish detergent and table salt as a face mask, so the results could be from the combination.  While, I'm not an expert on any of this, I do work in a virology lab and am currently doing a research paper.  Sulfated compounds do have antiviral activity, so this may be something worth trying????

That's right keep the chin up. I've had a couple of out breaks since the last time I messaged, but I'm on a 2 week of calm at the moment.

Are you taking any supplements? They could help towards the immuse system which is a big thing when it comes to HPV.

The facial warts that you are getting, do the puss, seep or they just grow then go away?

I have a friend that has the same strain of HPV, but it doesn't effect them nearly as much as it does me.

Also which brand was it of the inject that you had? Do you know? What is the one agains 4 of the strains or 2?

Well I guess I'm on a flare-up/calm-down cycle.
While some older warts are healing I still got a couple of small ones flaring-up near my left temple which has been a trouble spot for several weeks now.
I'll keep up with everything I'm doing and I'll take the next vaccine shot in January.
I've definitely improved since a few weeks ago but I'm not cured.
This is depressing sometimes but I'm trying to stay positive.
God knows it could be worse.

The biggest news I have to share is this:

Look up Red Marine Algae aka Red Seaweed aka Irish Moss aka carrageenan.

I'm taking Red Marine Algae caps from NOW Foods and I just ordered Vibrant Health RMA Soothing Ointment with Gigartina Red Marine Algae.

The news on Red Algae vs HPV (warts) is very very promising and my experience so far has been excellent.  Things are clearing up but bear in mind I've taken one shot of the HPV vaccine and have also added potassium pills to my already heavy vitamin regimen.

Frank, please keep us updated. I have the same issue, and it's been going on for about 2 years. I've tried all sorts of different things, and just recently found out I have HPV 16. So I guess I can stop searching for the cause, and start searching for the cure.

These things have just appeared on my face in the last two years, which I'm sure that also has something to do with the virus and a low immune system at the time.....
