Whats wrong with me!?

Hi all,
I had a pap test on friday and I am waiting for the results. Tomorrow I go for a pelvic ultrasound because I have been having unusual pains lower abdomen for about six months - I was overseas so havent had the chance to see a doctor, except I got tested for all STD's a month ago and all results were negative. On tuesday I will get the 1st HPV immunisation shot.
I am 22 and have been sexually active and on the pill since I was 16. I have had 12 different sex partners, often unprotected. Stupid, I know - I was young and unaware and now my number one priority is my health!! Hope its not too late...
What do you think my painful symptoms mean? could it be cervical cancer? What is pelvic inflammatory disease and is it related to HPV? could my STD results have been wrong?
I am so anxious and worried about my health because I know I have made some bad choices in the past and my boyfriend and I want to settle and have kids in the next few years. I am worried I have ruined my chances of having kids, or worse- I have cancer and will die young!! Please, any advice will help.

you can get p.i.d. two differnt ways (at least thats what my doctor said) they told me that you can get it from a urinary tract infection. or you can get it from two diffrent types of std's gonerea and clamidea. they said that i got mine from the u.t.i. , so they put me on 5 differnt types of antibotics. you can get rid of p.i.d.. but i do belive that after i got the p.i.d., is when i started getting the really bad cramps. i got the u.t.i. after i gave birth to my son.

i know i get really bad cramps in my lower abdomen but mainly off to the sides. i guess closer to where my overies are. i started getting them after i had my son almost 3 years ago. sometimes i would get them on both sides some times i would get them on one side then it would shift to the other side. and there are times where they get so bad that it feels like someone is ripping my overies out. i know they say that some women will have some discomfert when they ovulate. i know i get them all the time and i get a heavey discharge. and occationally i will get a oder. its not a fowl smelling oder but it is a deffently a noticable smell coming from that area. i had a doctor tell me once that it was probobly be endemetriosis or somthing but never did any test on it. and there will be times where it will get so bad that i am stuck in bed in pain. but thats rough on me because i have two kids of my own to watch a 11 month old and a soon to be 3 year old that gets into everything. and at the moment i am taking care of four kids. my sisters two and  my two. her two are 5 months and 3 years. so i deffently can't lay arround in pain all day long.

the most important fact is that ur seeking treatment and must follow thru.Hard for anyone to diagnose ur symptoms here.....go to www.ashastd.org.....or browse the archives under Experts Forum-std's..its to the right of this page.U will find many responses to questions like urs Doctors Hook and Handsfield have answered for ppl.u have not ruined ur chances of having kids.....i doubt that and cervical cancer only develops when women don't have paps for YEARS!
