Definitely yes, I just had first pap smear in 10 yrs. And u have hpv, well yesterday I'd officially the 6 time I've gotten it and my daughter has hpv too and has had bells palsey a couple times herself. It's very imbaressing and makes u feel very low about yourself. I lock myself n my home and pray none noticed. I've noticed if I stay taking vitamins very regularly helps this not happen..... So ur answer is yes wish I knew earlier.

I am just recently getting over Bells Palsy & just had a Pap smear come up positive for HPV. To coincidental to me too. Yes it is a STD but so is CMV which is believed by the medical community to cause Bells Palsy.

I think HPV may cause Bell's Palsy.  I had Bell's Palsy about six months ago a recent smear test that showed I had the virus as well. It was too coincidental for me to think otherwise.

I had Bells Palsy in 2006 and a recent smear test in 2008 showed I had the virus which I could have had before the Bells Palsy. This is now becoming a common question as they are both a virus. It would be good if a med could answer this.
