What are the chances i have contracted HPV?

I am a 24 year old male that smokes, planning to quit. One of my sexual partners has recently been diagnosed with high risk HPV leading to CIN 2/3. We have had sex 7 times in the last 7 months, most of which occurred in the last 3 months, the last time being just a few weeks before her diagnosis. For arguments sake we will assume that I'm not the one that gave it to her. It was one of the earlier times but we have had unprotected sex once. There has also been many times of unprotected skin to skin contact of our genitals along with instances of oral sex, both of us receiving and giving. In those 7 months we are only sexual partners each other has had.

I am aware of the risks involved and have read up on hpv and know of the possibility that i gave it to her. There is no fighting between us, i have been very supportive of her, we have stopped having sex and are still very close. I simply want to get some insight to my assumption that i do have it or if im over estimating the transmission chance that i did get from her.

Hello! Any which way one of you is carrying HPV so protected sex is the best method to prevent transmission. High risk HPV is really a big problem for women because it may lead to cervical cancer while in men there has no proven test that it may cause cancer. Now this is not time for you to fight who's to blame but you 2 must discuss how to treat yourselves and how to have protected sex in the near future.

Thank you for your reply and input. I've done some research and understand what i should do if i do have it and I assume that I did contract it. I'm just trying to gather some insight into the possibilities and figure out if my assumption is justified or if I may be over estimating the transmission rates. I understand that there are no ways (practical) to determine if a male has high risk HPV.

i dont know much about oral, but unprotected intercourse is considered a pretty risky activity for HPV transmission (ill say about 50% chance) . . . actually protected intercourse also is considered risky enough to tx HPV . . .
my only advise to you is quit tobacco, alcohol, heat healthy and exercise
