Bloated!!

As some of you know my hysterectomy was the 10th. They found that my ovary was attached to my stomache. I really did make i good desion on the surgery. My only problem is how bloated I am. I've walked and walked and walked trying to pass the gas they put in me. It seems that my stomache is on strike. Is there anything that I can do to help it along? Thanks as always. Love Jen

I'm doing great. My bathroom habits are finally sorting there selves out. I still can't feel things right. Its like my bowels and pee hole (not sure what its called) are asleep. I feel pain instead of urges. and not in the right areas so I'm going to the bathroom often just to make sure. I got my results back from the doc yesterday when they took out my stiches. The precancer cells were already back on my uterus. My ovarys were full of cyst (pcod) which I knew but, my right ovary was attached to my stomache. He said that happens commonly when a cyst burst. So I deff think all this was worth it. No more surgerys. After a long battle its all over! YAY!!

Drink a lot of water, eat a plain food (no fatty, dairy and spicy), small several meals, walk 10-20 minutes for two to three times a day, and breath deep slowly often, ice pack with back stretch belt when sore or pulled muscle, pray and read the Bible daily. Cramp muscles need to eat potassium and magnesium "Calm" also rest a lot of time!  I need to know which one is the best use hormone pills or herb or stay away from the food for hot flash?

Hey Jen, hope you've got your gas problem sorted. Fruit is the best,or a stool softener (not laxative). In australia we have product called movicol, which works wonders. Hope you find the estradiol works well. Can't believe I had to suffer for 8 weeks before being offered HRT, and how much my life changed for the better once I started. Good luck with your recovery, sounds like you're doing well, just need to get regular.

Your so welcome Jen, hang in there it will get better.  one patch is probably estrogen, vivelle? dont know other could be a few things...not sure of clear red pill? has he mentioned an anti depressant..or it may be a stool softner just hit me thats what they look like...nobody needs to be constipated after a hyster....do NOT use a laxitive..way too harsh for this surgery..stool softner and lots of fiber.

ty hun i never even knew it could do that. Gezz what our bodies go threw. The gas is going away little by little which is a  big relief. My shoulders don't hurt as bad. All in all I feel ok. Alot better than I thought I would for awhile. I'm on 2 different hormones a patch and a clear red pill. I'll put the names in later. So far so good. Thank you all so much for being here. It really is a welcome relief to have people to talk to. ESP. when you really have no clue on what to expect. Hope everyone out here is doing well. Lots of Love, Jen

Walking is good if ou still have trapped gas, also lay on left side if you can, draw knee up a bit.

Bloating use a ice pack..heat will just make you swell more,,and ice actually feel good for the pain..not directly on skin use a washcloth or sm towel

endo tissue is very odd,,my ovary was engulfed in endo and attached to my bowel

feel better..if gas doesnt go away in a day or two phone dr..its usually gone in 48 hrs.
