Hyperplasia without atypia

I have been diagnosed as having 2 fibroids, my CA-125 count was .39, and my endometrial biopsy detected that I have Hyperplasia without atypia.
My first option is progestin therapy for 3 months, stop for 1 month and get tested again. My second option is to have a hysterectomy. If my tests are the same in 4 months then a hysterectomy is strongly considered.
My question is: Should I have the operation right away since we can't see if there is cancer, or wait and probably have the operation later? Is it risky to wait?
Much appreciated, LM

I can only answer from my personal experience and that of so many women I have talked to. A hysterectomy is NOT to be taken lightly.  I was told by a doctor that we may as well, " Clean house " while he was removing a cyst, as to save future surgeries for cancer.  This is presuming most all of us will develop cancer at some point in our lives. This is insanity. A hysterectomy is NOT a cure all.  It causes many problems all it's own. PLEASE, read everything you can and seek out differing views and opinions.

Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it! I've made an appointment to speak to the surgeon about my test results and the surgery.

this is a serious and personal decision you are wise to seek information,,is it risky to wait,,,probably not short term ,,long term yes and if you know an hysterectomy is your destiny why not just get it over with..so as to lessen your chances of cancer?
