I am 44 years old and have a long history of endometriosis, and my appendix has been removed along with what was term with severe endo adhesions in my twenties. Since then I had three healthy pregnancies all vaginal delivery. Eight years after my final pregnancy I started having a recurrence of pain which I assumed to be endometrial. The pain continued to worsen, especially on my right side. Two years ago, after the pain was severe enough that I could no longer walk up and down stairs with out gasping in pain, I opted to have the right ovary removed. A unilateral salpingo oophorectomy on the right side done laparoscopically. I have had no pain for almost two years but have over the past two months been experiencing greater and greater amounts of pain in the same location as my ovary was removed. Even having what felt like a temporary torsion that laid me flat on my back till it felt better. The abdominal, lower back, hip and right leg pain are now fairly constant, along with abdominal bloating and very frequent urination.
So the ovary is gone, why the return in pain with all the same symptoms pre-removal?
