If you were to have an emergency, they would probably want to do whatever was necessary to save your life.  But it seems odd that he would ask you to pre-approve a hysterectomy.  Or was he simply warning you?  Can't you do anything with iron injections to improve your iron supply before the delivery?

I really don't understand why your Dr would want do a hysterectomy if you are having no problems. They will keep a close eye on blood loss during your c-section and if you need blood you will get it. I don't see the reason for a hysterectomy though because of possible blood loss.
