neurological problem with herpes.. anyone else?

3 months ago, I was infected with HPV2.  I haven't had any future outbreaks, but have had pain every day for the last two months, in nearly every part of my body.  Sometimes feels like my bones are on fire.  My feet get so sore I don't want to walk on them, and my skin is sore to the touch sometimes.  Has anyone experienced these things?  I am curious as to what Dr's have told anyone out there with these symptoms, or how you have handled it over time? I read on one post on here that it may be called post herpetic neuralgia, but I am not aware of this for sure.

Post herptic neuralgia is from having shingles. It is usually painful around the waist not all over. So, I don't think you have this.

I wanted to add that you may want to get a bone scan and a Rheumatoid arthritis test to help rule out some things, like Lupus.as well as bone cancer. It is unlikely but best to check this out.  If you have a fever and/or rash or were bitten by a tick then I would suggest different things.

mkh9 is on to something.  Further testing is needed, but Lymes, Mycoplasmas and coinfections of Bartonella and Babesia are good starts.

Hi again,
I don't think the symptoms you have fit HSV2. You may have some other neurological problem. If you have the symptoms mentioned by the other post, then you can get tested for Bartonella. You may want to see a neurologist. You may also think about a viral panel.

Symptoms have truly effected nearly every part of my body.  Anywhere from pain in legs, arms, feet, hands, neck, to buttocks.  I really haven't had unusual headaches.  for the last few weeks, my hands and feet have been extremely cold.  Even my eyes feel cold.  I have pain everyday.  A typical day is burning pain in various parts of my body, at various times, and in various levels of intensities.  My legs often feel "tight" and sore.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate any opinions or experiences.  It has now been over 3 months, and every day is something.  Extremely weird.

Thanks again for the correspondence!

You are welcome. Funny I read it as HSV2 not HPV. I guess the symtoms told me what it was.

I take Valtrex, once a day.  I also need to correct my original post in saying I was diagosed with HSV2, not hpv2.  I have actually posted on the other forum as well.  Thank you for the suggestion.

I don't know but do know that herpes infects the nerves. Are you on any treatment for it such as acyclovir? There is a herpes site here you can go to instead of the infectious disease that might give you more info. You can post on both sites.
