Enlarged Lymph Node

I have had sore throat that comes and goes since well before Christmas. Went to the drs twice for it. Was put on 2 different rounds of antibiotics and had steroid shot. That was beginning of Jan. Also had felt a lump on right side of neck like 3 or 4 months ago and had CT scan but everything was normal. Then had ultrasound about 4 weeks ago that showed some enlarged nodes 1 measuring 2.5 CM. That was just done in office. My dr then sent me this past Fri to hospital for another ultrasound. Of course this week she is on vacation.  Does anyone know if this sounds concerning?

Ultrasound Report
Anterior chain lymph node on the right has eccentrically thickened cortex although fatty hilum remains. It is 1.7 cm ir length. Slow flow varicosity extending toward the jugular vein. Other small reactive appearing lymph nodes present in the anterior chain.
Impression: New lymphadenopathy presumably reactive. Recommend clinical follow-up.

The short answer is that there is every reason to believe it is not-cancer (i.e., it is reactive).

That said, what you have is not exactly ordinary.
