Multiple lumps/nodes

Hi

Last week i noticed a lump on the back of my neck. It is on right side and it is under the skin so you can only feel it. To me it looks like it is around 1cm big and is not very hard, but its not moving.

Then i started to read about these and lymphoma and after that i have checked my groin area. And this is where i was surprised. I am able to feel on my groins a lot of lumps/nodes on both sides(around 4-5 on left and 3-4 on right site), the biggest one there is around 2cm. These are much harder comparing to the one on neck and it is not moving aswell. This got me very worried and I am not sure if this is normal or not and if people should feel their nodes on this area. I am more of a skinny person and 25 years male.

Any suggestions ?

I did a needle biopsy and I am awaiting on results.

I have one question though. Is it normal that nodes in groin are different in sizes, in my example one is quite bigger than others that I can feel or should all be same size ?

Also after the needly biopsy this node started to hurt a bit when i touch it, before it didnt. is this normal ?

Well, Some experts state that being able to feel your nodes is normal, some state it is not normal. I will tell you this, If one can feel his/her nodes they should be soft, movable, and up to 1cm (Size of M & M) Now in the groin they can be up to 1.5 cm and still be normal.

When they are hard or firm and not movable it is always wise to be seen by a doctor and have them looked at. If they think they are abnormal, they will order an needle biopsy and go from there.

With that said I would recommend seeing your doctor as soon as you can and get this figured out. at your age it is most likely nothing but you never know.
