Is anyone diagnosed with MGUS experiencing itchy arms and legs?  I am 56 yrs old (young for the dx).  It was discovered during bloodwork for unexplained itching.  This has been going on for the past year.  My hematologist has many patients with MGUS but no one ever complained of being itchy.  I have spent thousands of dollars on insurance deductibles trying to come up with an explanation or a resolution to my problem.

Hi - I have MGUS and itch, itch itch!  I've was told by the one doctor (allergist) that knew what it was from my blood protein levels that my antibodies are attacking themselves, leading to the itch.  He prescribed benadryl & zertec (great - two dementia causing drugs)  I don't take them often as I wake up fuzzy.  Wine will bring on the itch.  Curiously enough, I never had any symptoms or the diagnosis until a tick bite less than a year before the itch started.  Hmmmmm, and they said it couldn't be related.  Really Doc??
