SGOT SGPT Doubled

I just received my labs and as you can see it has multiplied.  I don't drink at all.  Any suggestions of what can cause this.  I did gain about 70 lbs. from 2012-2013.

3/6/14     - SGOT  147  SGPT 230
1/16/14   - SGOT  51  SGPT 112
9/21/12   - SGOT  14  SGPT 15

Your right, better safe than sorry.  I'm going to schedule an appointment with a gastroenterologist on Monday. I will update after my next appointment. Thank you

No, I only copied and pasted the results from the message board. When got the results I looked up hepatomegaly and saw something about metastasis. I've been iffy about it and don't know if i should ask for one?

I had my liver ultrasound this morning.  Thank you both for commenting.

Below are my results:
Impression:

1. Hepatomegaly with increased liver echogenicity, hepatic steatosis

--- which means enlarged liver with fatty tissue deposits. Recommendation: low fat/low cholesterol diet and weight reduction -- which you are working on.

Liver enzyme elevation likely related to this/will recheck in 3 months

2. Cholelithiasis.

- means gall stones in gallbladder/ stones are generally not an issue unless abdominal pain associated with food intake.

my guess is that  you have a fatty liver.
i have it and once my weight increase the enzymes increases also.
after your visit to doctor, please  update what they say, if you loose weight, it should be okay.

I think you should see a specialist - preferably a hepatologist(liver disease specialist) if one is available in your area. If not then a gastroenterologist(digestive disease specialist) would be the next best option.
There is definitely something going on with your liver and you need to get a diagnosis and discuss treatment/management options. While I don't think there is need to panic I don't think you want to ignore this either. Recent weight gain can cause an elevation in your enzymes but the significant increase you've had since January 2014 is something I would want a specialist to address.

Good luck,
Mike
