Cirrhosis of the Liver

My husband has been diognosed with Cirrosis of the Liver 2 years ago.  His Meld score when diognosed was a 19,
He has been following the book  on his diet for over 2 years now since diognosed.  His meld score has been great
he has never gone higher.   Every Three Monthes he gets blood work, and this is about what it has been:
19, 19, 18, 19, 18, 17, 17, 15, and now a 13.  This is great to me.  I am either wondering if He caught it in time, and it is healing??? (biosy's, cat scans, ulta sounds, hep. blood tests, have all been taken.).
Any possible way the liver is healing??

it think its unlikely that the liver is healing unless the cause of the liver condition is drinking and long standing sobriety has led to some interval improvement.  MELD scores can rise and fall intermittently.  i am glad that its trending downsward.

the liver can have remarkable resilience.  there is always some room for regeneration and healing if the inciting insult is removed, the longer the better.

Thank you so much for your reply.  I must comment on the Unless.

Yes the Unless is from drinking.  since the unless is in there, Once Cirrhosis hits, has it been know for a long standing sobriety to lead to it healing. ?
