fatty liver is very commonly seen in people who may be overweight or have high cholesterol. It is the most common cause of abnormal liver tests. rarely it can lead to cirrhosis. You should definitely follow-up with a gastroenterologist or hepatologist. the overall treatment is weight loss. It is called NASH.
