10 Easy Steps for Becoming a Radical Homemaker

        * Commit to hanging your laundry out to dry.
        * Dedicate a portion of your lawn to a vegetable garden.
        * Get to know your neighbors. Cooperate to save money and resources.
        * Go to your local farmers' market each week before you head to the grocery store.
        * Do some spring cleaning to identify everything in your home that you absolutely don't need. Donate to help others save money and resources.
        * Make a commitment to start carrying your own reusable bags and use them on all your shopping trips.
        * Choose one local food item to learn how to preserve for yourself for the winter. Get your family to spend more evenings at home, preferably with the TV off.
        * Cook for your family.
        * Focus on enjoying what you have and who are with. Stop fixating on what you think you may need, or how things could be better "if only."

I was wondering where this post went...it got moved I see!  I actually went to the Farmer's Market this morning, and have to say that I agree...locally grown produce does taste better!  So much fresher.  And it's always good to support your local farmers.  Now, Sara...I think a french braid is the way to go personally. Much tidier. However, next time I see the crazy lady at Starbucks I shall ask her and let you know.  We need to make sure we are doing this the right way....lol.

If I need to stop shaving my legs to continue my "radical homemaker" practices, I would be ok with it...it's a pain anyway. However, DH may be less then thrilled...lol.  Think I can convince him that stubble is sexy?  Ha.

Oh so this is where it is.  I wondered what happened to it.

But after reading Amanda's journal, I do have to ask.  Do you have to stop shaving your legs and braid your armpit hair to be a radical homemaker??? lol

Oh dear.  I do most of these things (except hanging my laundry outside to dry).  I dislike radicalism...couldn't we make this another mental illness instead?  I much prefer that!!
