Thanks for your tips. I just wanted to let you know that we were very good with the bottled water. We didn't drink any tap water...until the last day. As we were packing, The Boyfriend is in hurry because we're late, as usual. But he wants to take some Airborne before we get on the plane and 2 minutes later, I hear shouting from the bathroom, "F&*k, I can't believe I just did that." He put his Airborne in a glass of tap water and drank the whole thing.
The ironic part is that he was just fine the whole way back on our 24 hour journey. I, on the other hand, had to pop 2 Imodiums. Sigh...
It was a great time, though. I'd recommend it if you have a chance to pop over there from Australia.
Have a great time. I am green with envy!

Thanks for the tips, redheadaussie. I leave tonight for Bali and I promise not to drink any tap water. The street food vendors, though, may be too tempting for me. I did get my Hep A and Typhoid shots, so I'm hoping that I'll be okay.
Peek - If you want to get away from Mr. Peek for a while, come on over to Bali. The boyfriend and I would be happy to have you there! If you decide to stay, be good while I'm gone.
I never get to go anywhere. I'm insanely jealous.
DON"T DRINK THE TAP WATER! Don't eat from food stalls, eat at your hotel. Don't give big tips to any one, they will hound you. Be aware at this time of year it rains alot there. DO check to see if any dates you are there are a religious holiday, they will LOCK you in your room! Seriously!
Many of my friends have been to Bali as it is so close to Australia where I live.
One couple went there and were literally locked in their room for 4 days. It was a religious holiday where no Westerners were allowed to be out. My sister got a parasitic infection because she ate food from a street food vendor. The water quality there is not so good either. Buy bottled! EVEN TO BRUSH YOUR TEETH!
Apart from all that horrible stuff, it's a really nice place!
Gee Hope I didn't put you off!
