sometimes you just have to pray

On Friday night, a very good friend of mine and my families, 19 yr old daughter was killed in a traffic accident. I found out about it on saturday afternoon, so I called my friends brother right away.  We were talking about the tragic event, and i told him about what I went through when my daughter passed away. I told him all that they can do is pray, that the Lord will bring them comfort in this terrible time. I don't believe that our mortal minds could ever understand why something like this had happened. sadly it happens more often then any of us really want to think about.

I guess what i am really trying to get at is, no matter what the situation is, we should seek comfort, understnding,wisdom, knowledge..whatever the need is, through prayer. I know this is hard, because when my daughter passed I did the exact opposite. I truley believe that our Lord will comfort and protect one through these times, only if we will pray and ask...God Bless...brian

Your so right Brian, death is hard on the ones left behind, the departed are fine in the kingdom of heaven, its very sad indeed to see a young life cut short, the family will need lots of support in many different ways. When our good friend passed we found just showing up and doing things helped. woman would do their laundry, bring a pre cooked meal, men would mow the families lawns...they dont have time or strenght to think of these things,,
