Lonelymom : Lol : D I hear ya! I don't even want to go to the dentist in order to have my teeth whitened either. My son had that procedure done and he said it caused him aweful pain when they put the light on his teeth. He was trying to call for assistance in order to stop the procedure due to the pain he was experiencing; but. no one heard him right away! He said he'd not do it again. When I spoke with the dentist and hygeinist about it they said it does effect some people that way due to sensitivity and on others it doesn't affect at all.
PolkaDot14: A few days ago, I puchased a toothpaste called, 'Plus White XTRA Whitening' it's specially formulated to remove coffee, tea, wine, tobacco and other food stains. I love it! It is whitening my teeth with absolutely no sensitivity envolved. And like Lonelymom mentioned Colgate for sensitive teeth is great too!
I would love white teeth but not at the cost of hurting all the time!
...meaning Arm and Hammer Advanced White.
I agree with you Lonelymom. I believe it wasn't doing too good for our enamel either.
I was going to say the samething. Whenever I used it my teeth would start hurting I went to the dentist and he said that I was ruining the enamel on my teeth with it.
Now I use colgate for sensitive teeth with whitening power and love it.
Both my husband and I have used Arm and Hammer Advanced White toothpaste. We did not like it. It made our teeth and gums sensitive and did not notice any whitening. However, when we make a paste out of Baking Soda and Peroxide. We do notice that our teeth become a little whiter and we don't suffer the sensitivity we did from the Advanced White toothpaste.
I used the Arm and Hammer Advance Whitening gel. Its where you put toothpaste on your brush and then you put the clear gel on top and brush twice a day. It really did work. I saw a difference in about a week after using it. But it's a small tube for like $5.00. So i havent bought in a while. I'll try Walmart to see if they sell it cheaper. You can also rinse your mouth with peroxide and water and use it as a garggle to get whiter teeth too.
You can use baking soda and peroxide, make a paste out of it, you got the same thing, and yes it works, but slower than going to the dentist to get it done.
I use it! I love it i think my teeth look different but not as white as i want! BUT that's me I feel i need laser teeth whitening for what i want!! DH loves it he says its the only kind that dont make his gums bleed which i do agree too!!
