Do you mean Friday the 13th supposed to be unlucky ,dont walk under ladders etc I never think about it its another day but I know a lot of folks are superstious
No, the Friday after Thanksgiving....it is suppose to be the biggest shopping day of the year and sets tone for sales for the Holiday season!
I hate shopping in large crowds
I've never wanted to get up that early and battle all the crazy people who will run you down trying to get in the doors first! Is it worth it?! They'd have to be giving away FREE stuff I think to make it worth it for me!
They are already doing sales here. I think it's because of the recession. They're worried that people aren't going to be buying as much this year, which is probably true.
I do want to get a new TV this year since they're all going digital. They'd have to have some pretty darn good sales on TV's to make me want to battle those crowds. We shall see!
So, do you get into it, Suzi?
It's funny....I have most of my shopping done...but I do love the hustle and bustle! If I haven't shopped yet, I would hate going out to have to look for things, but since it is practically done, to go out for a couple of little things is fun for me.
Oh I voted in the wrong place then I am out of the door at 5am, will still do it this year aswell may not spend as much but love the Tradition, its the fun of it all, and the madness I saw some people trampled at Nordstroms .a few years ago, now they have security out there to watch for tramplers.
Last year I was in line at Best Buy at 3:30pm on Thursday...
Won't do it - can't make me!!!
You're done shopping already??!! Ok, that's just not right. ;P I haven't even THOUGHT about what I'm getting! Maybe I'd be less stressed if I'd get all my stuff done early too. But then that would mean I'd have to be more organized, lol.
I do all my shopping on chritmas eve its cheaper and theres no crowd lmao
I always go out on black friday.. however this year I am getting even braver,, I am going to new york city on black friday, we are going to jersey to visit relatives for the week and going into the city on friday. it will be all decorated and wonderful, my sister in law is watching the twins and were taking my 10 year old DD.. cannot wait!!!
Not on your life would i head out on Black Friday.....I like having my limbs left attached.
LoL to Sara, that was a good one, guess what I have all my christmas chopping done, we cut down this year went to kodak.com and orderd aprons, coffee mugs, and such with childrens photos for our parents, oldest son-lap top- middle son cell phone with minutes-littlest son a computer game and his own hunting rifle ( it is kept unloaded locke in gun cabinet) this will be my easiest christmas ever
Its so funny...so many voted "no way" but obviously this is not a sample of the american Population! If it was, no one would be out on Black Friday!
No......I don't go shopping the day after Thanksgiving, but all five of my grown children do!! I am the babysitter for the day.....Lucky me!! They will fight the traffic and the long lines at the stores...they love it!!! Me,well i will be home playing with the grandkids.
I haven't gone out on black friday in years! And I'm not this year either. Most of my shopping is done... all I need are a few stocking stuffers and my son to write his letter to Santa asking for what I already got :) .
black friday sounds so scary, really! I was watching the cop show called Life last night, and it was about the black friday shopping. If i hadnt have seen this post i would have wondered what was going on!! So thanks for posting it,I have never heard of it before.I love a bargain too,but all those people pushing you around, looks a bit daunting to me.
Never have and never will
I'm shopping Online .. lots of free shipping and good deals, too.
On my way out of the door its 6-30am ish.... Yipee sale day
Viewed from the outside: Thursday, give thanks for having survived another year. Friday, try as hard as possible not to survive another year. HMMMMMM
Post script ... I found some good stuff but when I went to pay the line was soooo long I went to put the items down ,then I had an idea I went to the jewellry counter and picked up a cheap Xmas pin and also paid for the other stuff, there, much to the chagrin of some of the folks in the Looooong line,I sailed past them and out of the store in a few mins!!!
NO WAY would I ever shop on black friday. You'd have to have some sort of death wish-literally! Why should I go OUT to shop, when I can find some awesome deals on-line?
