what brought you all here?

How did everyone find their way to Medhelp?  I came here because of heart palpatations.  My journey took me from the heart disease forum (that was the only heart forum they had when I signed up), to the anxiety forum, to the dieting forum, to the gastroenterology forum and on and on and on.  I probably spend too much time on here but I find out a lot of cool stuff and I enjoy seeing others' perspectives on things.

Needed help and others perspective on a few problems I tried to look at other options but found MedHelp the best, I have some knowledge of children and try to help there, I have Allergies so I go for help there I have a relative at the begining of some dementia problems so when I panic about how I will get through it I look for answers on the Alzheimers site. Past knowledge of Anxiety and Panic that I got over,so I poodle round the differant sites, great people with a lot of answers, has trly helped me I look forward each time I log in to naswers for me and hope I can help someone else.

I came on here in September 2007 because I had a miscarriage and my husband and I decided we would like to try agian. Needless to say I got pregnant in Oct 07 and now have a beautiful baby boy that is 3 months old!  I love this place you make new friends and the interaction is wonderful. This particular forum is nice because you can get to know people that you would not find in the pregnancy forums and chit chat! Im looking foward to making some new friends on here!

I came here in 2005 when I wad diagnosed with a complex ovarian cyst and feared it was cancer.  I found the woman in the ovca forum very helpful and they really eased my worried(there wasn't an ovarian cyst forum then).....turned out to be only a cyst and went away, but since then I have since become a regular visitor on the pregnancy and maternal forum and I usually venture to lots of other forums whenever I have a question or am curious.  The pregnancy 18-34 and the fertility forum were great when DH and I decided to TTC, and now I have a 11 day old daughter!

Found MH doing a search regarding heart problems (PVCs, cardiomyopathy, mitral regurgitation).  Like Happy said, there was only one heart forum back then (actually an expert forum) and it has grown leaps and bounds since then.  I still love it here!

In Oct 2006 @ a routine annual exam, my Dr. found 2 thyroid nodules .. I had to have a FNA Biopsy done .. not only did I not know what a nodule or FNA Biopsy was, I didn't even know where the thyroid was or what it did in the body!

The members at MedHelp taught me all I know today and have helped me go from diagnosis, thru surgery, thru med adjustments, thru acceptance and healing 100% and this has allowed me to help others.

Many of the original members who helped me in 2006 are still on the thyroid community helping so many people.

That is special stuff.

I don't even remember how I got here.  It was actually 6 years ago.  Probably just a link to a link to a link landed me here.

The site was very different back then.  Just a few forums, and plain old questions and answers.

After giving birth to my youngest daughter things were a bit "strange" and I came here seeking answers about my body! I landed in the Pregnancy Community and was asked to be a CL a few months ago. My username says I've been here since Jan (I think) but I've been here longer under a different username. I changed it so it was more easily recognizable.

Phew... probably TMI but... who cares?

I don't remember how I found it but I came here because I was having heart palpitations. I found out it was PVC's. After the Heart forum I moved to the Gastroenterology forum when I started having GI problems and had a mass removed. When they believed I had Crohns I moved to the Crohns forum. I also liked the Maternal forum and just meeting and chatting with people. I've learned so much here!
I've been on here now for about a year and a half? Time flies when you're having fun! :)

I stumbled upon the forum after I was diagnosed with HCV. Glad I did because I found out more info about the disease from forum members then what my doctors told me. But not only me, this seems to be the case with everyone who has hepc. We learn more here than anywhere.

I found MedHelp while mulling over child behavior. Just reading through all the questions made me realize my son, his progress, my life was nothing out of the ordinary and nothing to worry about. At the same time I felt I could add some of my own experience to the mix. So I stayed.

I found Medhelp searching drug withdrawal.  I looked over the posts and decided to take the jump and get off pills.  I went cold turkey in April 2008 and just celebrated my 5 months clean mark.

I've found this by doing searches to find online mood trackers. I have had all my moods written in paper for a while, but it's good to have them on a computer, especially for the graphs.
Then I went "oh, a social community I can be in instead of working!", and here I am.

I had a tubal reversal in March 07 and beforehand was looking for others who had it done and then had a successful pregnancy (trying to help make up a decision) . So from very early 2007,  I lurked around for a couple months and then when I found out I was pregnant I made my first 'actual' post.
