Discussion and theories on LOST
*************Spoiler WARNING for those who don't watch the show or missed last week's episode*****
Lost happens to be my favorite TV show. It's just about the only show I really watch besides the news on occasion.
I thought last week's episode was really neat.
I had an interesting lost related dream this morning. It could be a spoiler for those who haven't seen last week's episode. We will see much later in the series if my dream was right on of way off base. I suspect more off base.

- According to the dream I had: We know from last week's episode that what happens in time can't bel altered. For instance if you failed to study on a test and you flunked it, you can't go back in time to study so you can prevent flunking the test if that was what happened. It seems to be different than Back to to the Future.
In Back to the Future, changing the past, also changes the future, often negativly. In LOST, it seems there are certain "rules" set to prevent it from happening.
Okay onto the dream (at least the ideas that came from it): Everyone of the people on the plane crashed and died in that plane in the ocean. Windmore may not have made it up after all. That may have Ben's lie because he hates Windmore...
The reason those people are alive is because the island has a tensency to turn back time on people. People who died, can be alive if they were turned back to a time before they died. (that would explain "Jacob" and Christian, how he seems to be "alive" even though he died supposedly.) Still wouldn't explain how the plane moved into the ocean though..but dreams aren't good at logic. ;) Second thought... Maybe their logic is kind of wierd... Maybe the island was in a different area when the plane was "supposed" to crash.
The 6 people who "survived" got off the island and started living was a "mistake" If ihey suppoesdly all died in the first run of time, then time will try to set that right. (Remember Charlie and Desmond. What Desmund said to Charlie?) That may go in line with why there seem to be people out to kill the 6 survivors.
It also seems on the island people get killed too...after all they seem to be living on borrowed time... We know that Locke is supposed to die.
According to the dream I had (which was really weird) supposedly the island had a certain time (and several gears turning) At some point in time they stop, and that is the end of time...and the island blows up and takes the life of everything on it???? I don't know... (I think it was spawned by the 2017 discussion we had several weeks ago)
After all this was just a wierd dream... You get to see some of the "logic" that comes from the depths of my mind when I am asleep. Enjoy. :)

Well now looks like they are crossing paths with their own past. That can't be good....
Looks like Charlotte is safe. I think Daniel us her constant. Looks like Miles and Juliet are now in hot water. They need a constant......
I knew it, the moment there was French stuff around the area, somehow I knew they would be be interfering with Danielle Rousseau.
Looks like Rousseau's team rescued Jin. At least if Sun makes it back to the island, that should be an emotional moment for her.
Also what is up with the LOST Untangled, and why was I unable to see it? They said it would be after Life on Mars, but right after that was our local news....
Anyone able to catch that LOST untangled feature?

widmore was one of the others. how did he get there. when did he get off? why? ellie looks familiar to daniel, hmmmm could she be his mother? the one desmond is looking for? could daniel and penny be brother and sister? that is why widmore is funding daniel's research? daniel and penny are the key to the mystery?
I cant wait to see how the 6 get back it seems in story plot they are comming together , I dont know if all 6 will go back together but I suspect they will odd they have Lockes dead body yet Locke is on the island...go figure?
Also interesting to find out that Windmore WAS one of the "Others". I wonder what changed his life?
alikat1205 answered pretty well on th island and birth thing. I think you are OKAY as long as you didn't BOTH conceive AND give birth on the island.
If I remember, Claire had to go through hell to give birth. Juliet had to inject her with something. Then she gave birth like normal.
Lesson learned, if you conceive on the island you better get the hell out before you get to term. if you conceive off the island then you may be able to survive if you get strapped down and injected with mysterious stuff....
I think it has to do with the fact the island tends to go BACK in time or at least at a different pace than biologically. A developing human is by nature trying to go against the island biological clock. Not sure how it affects animals there........namely polar bears, lol.

That whole thing with Daniel throws another interesting twist. I felt a bit bad, he didn't get a chance to fix the bomb. I suspect that lady that he met also has the same problem and why she is very ill as well as very angry at Daniel.
Daniel was probably hoping when he said that he loved Charlotte that he would become her "constant" so she would live. It appears he was wrong. If she dies, then maybe all his time travel and research is his effort to undo what happened so that charlotte would never die?????
Now that Desmond is possibly out of the scene, maybe Daniel will start to suffer too, because Desmondis Daniel's "constant"
I suspect the survivors don't get the sickness because they are constants to eachother. We've seen by their flashbacks that they've all had some importance in each other's lives, even if they just saw them in a store or held a conversation once.
Just a guess that the missing 6 will be a problem for those on the island because some of those survivors may no longer have constants unless those 6 can make it back...
Ain't time travel facinating??? Still doesn't answer why Locke is "chosen". He's creepy enough, that I don't know who else would better suit, lol.
Richard never ages.........I wonder how did he discover the secret to anti aging??? How many toes does he have?

I've watched House and enjoyed it. What stopped me was I wanted to see him try to get clean and see progression, maybe him to fall in love with someone and soften a bit. But he's same old House for better or for worse. I quit watching it after the season's finale with the man who shot him. I thought those were interesting questions and that would be a turning point in House's life. But it didn't seem to have that much long-term effect when the series started again. Only difference was he seemed to be "healed" of his leg problem.

I watched Desperate Housewives for a couple seasons and enjoyed it for its whacky humor. I dropped it because I'd go crazy trying to keep up with every TV show. Now I pretty much stick to Lost. I try to watch What would you do and sometimes I'll watch the Homeland Security show. Those shows give me plenty to think about for the week.

claire' baby was not conceived on the island. sun's baby was not born on the island. desmond's baby was not conceived on the island or born on the island. charlotte is dying because she has the time travelling sickness - she doesn't have a "constant" that is why daniel had to see desmond. the people on the freighter died of it, and remember daniel's mouse did as well.
mj on the island the others brought in the female doctor cause any woman who had a baby on the island died yet Claire and Sun both had their babies on the island..and now desmond has a son too,,,find that odd...add Locke whats up with him why is he the chosen one? how long can this show go on with no answers..wel we are getting some how come everytime the light flashes and the blonde doctor seems to get sick is she dying because shes a other/ Sawyer seems to know...Im hooked on Lost , american Idol, love House you outta watch it Mj its funny and a bit educational I like desperate housewifes too, that anc cnn and Im good...
Okay come on, I can't be the only one in medhelp who watches this TV series.... It's on tonight, so please be sure to watch it.
