Does this infuriate anyone else??

AIG execs' retreat after bailout angers lawmakers...Less than a week after the federal government had to bail out American International Group Inc., the company sent executives on a $440,000 retreat to a posh California resort, lawmakers investigating the company's meltdown said Tuesday.
The tab included $23,380 worth of spa treatments for AIG employees at the coastal St. Regis resort south of Los Angeles even as the company tapped into an $85 billion loan from the government it needed to stave off bankruptcy.

Is it just me or is anyone else COMPLETELY FURIOUS at the greed that has become apparent the past few weeks????  I CANNOT believe these people.  I am sorry but they should all be IN PRISON.

AIG clarified this -- it was not an executive retreat, it was an event for independent life insurance agents. It had an attendance of about 100 people, most of whom were not AIG employees.

This is typical for a company with independent sales agents. You have a big event for your top performing people each year. Companies do this to keep agents interested in selling their products.

This post is Swampy speaking in reporter mode, independent of what thoughts he may have about whether the company should do this or not.

At this point, it just kind of makes me tired.  You can only get infuriated so many times, at so many things, before it just gets to be a blur...

And don't be sorry, of course they should be in prison.  Just like there are so many people that are in prison that shouldn't be.
