About Inter-Racial marriage/babies
Alrighty lets be honest. I know my granny my moms mom was one predjudice lady ( I am caucasian) my mom grew up that way has friends of all colors, blew a gasket when she found out my sis was dating a black guy( lets not get hung up on sematics ok ..African american) anyways, they really are happy. So I say more power to them. I think babies that are 1/2 black and 1/2 white have the prettiest color of skin. So Im getting at I am not predjudice. I would date a NICE man of any color ( once Im divorced and ready LOL)
My very good friend has twin boys age 1 they are so beautiful and smart. Yet the other day someone called them, innocent babies "oreos" makes me beyond mad.

I ask questions and its important to me to understand the answers. well I am rambling..be nice here folks but be honest. I am really interested in what ya all have to say.

You know me 762 & what i stand 4 ! Hell you see it in my photos! Hell you see it in my journals! People have there own oppinion about race thats fine with me! But when it comes 2 babies they are innocent! They have no color barriers! They know no color! And 4 someone 2 make fun of it is stupid! Plane out stupid! If those same people had the love of christ n them then remarks like that would not be made!! But trust you me come judgement day they will have 2 give & account 4 that sin!
My nephew & niece are half black & half hispanic & my mom & dad loves them both!! We dont practice race in our family instead we practice the love of christ!! ((((B.O.L.D.)))) Btw its the way of the world folks so get used 2 it!!!! peeeaaace!!

When our Father in Heaven looks down on any baby or any person He is not looking at the color of ones skin, If two people of different races and skin color are happy and commited to each other, what business is it of anyone else.
i have no isses with race. (or sexual preferencet) as long as those 2 people are happy than i say go for it.
my family on the other hand (the older generations...my mom, aunts, uncles, and so on) are not so understanding. being friends is one thing (which my grandmother finds EXTREMELY offensive to even consider that but she was brought up in that sort of era) but to have a relationship is an absolute NO NO! nobody would talk to my cousin for the longest time because her 2 youngest children are "mixed races". they're half black half white. i won't even type what my grandmother still calls them....i don't like the kids (3 of her 4 kids actually....or her) but not b/c they're half african american and half white. these are the WORST kids EVER!!! i'm talking the spawn of satan. their mom is no better. little hellions i swear. i'm dreading having to see them tomorrow actually.....

God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son Jesus 2 die on the cross 4 our sins! Real men & women have no color issues! So will the real men & women please stand up!!
I still in my 48 yrs have no idea what the he!! color has to do with anything......We are all just human beings in my eyes.........sara

Of corse it was not God and no race/sex/nationality/social-class/ etc is better than anyone. I just was /am trying to open some eyes, and I really believe that with each generation its getting better. I sure hope so,My middle boys 1st little gf age 10 ahh puppy love anyways she was 1/2 black. 1/2 Irish and beautiful and funny great humor I didnt care at all, Id love for the whole world to notice skin color in the same way that they notice what color shirt someone has on.

I was gonna go to sleep turned on the news OMG I can not believe what I am going to tell you Cosco is in a bit of trouble sellin baby dolls w a stufffed animal friend.The white doll has a Panda bear friend and a pink hat on the baby that says "Cute Princess" The black baby doll has a Monkey friend and a ugly brown hat that says and I kid you not "Little Monkey" wow Parents were freaking out mad. can you even believe anyone would be that stupid?

Wow I wish all you kind people lived in my neighbourhood when I was a kid. I was teased soo much for having different hair and what not because I'm half white & half black..
I think racism is something that will never go away, and being angry doesn't solve anything. I can't tell you how many fights I've gotten in for being called names.. but all you have to do is pray that their eyes will open. Ignorance is not a good look.
If two people love each other, why would race have to matter?
It never even crosses my mind that the love of my life is of a different race than I am, he's a human and so am I, we share a love and that is what its all about.

I have NOTHING 2 say! i'm White (American) DH is Hispanic (from Mexico) and ALL people can say is OMG ur so white and hes dark! YEAH i know i cant tan and he can!! SO WHAT!! my family is more prejudice but had learned over the years to accept it!! i'm just whatever CUS either way I'm still a woman and hes still a man!!
u both rock too, we moved where we did on for the reason this subdivision is so diverse, I love it the kids in the neighboorhood yep have their arguments and kid stupid stuff, but its never about race and racial words just are not used.If people lead their kids and set an example we can teach our children to be color blind, I did the best I could to instill that in my kids, one day sesame st was on my oldest was 4 all the kids on this skitt he was watching was black, I tested him wanted to know what he saw, I said Honey whats the same about all those kids hes like mom they are all singing, I said oh I see that.and smiled !
I really think that in most areas of North America that we are seeing racism reduce with each generation. Even the older generation is starting to mellow.
My parents are very prejudiced and staunch protestants (Dad was a member of the Orange Lodge). When I was growing up he told me if I ever married a Catholic, and especially one of those foreigners like an Italian, that he'd disown me. Over time he mellowed and I am now in a happy marriage to a Catholic Italian who my parents love dearly. As well they were always negative about interracial relationships. They had heard that a couple of my cousins were in these and were aghast. A couple of months ago they were out shopping and ran into one with their kids and fell in love with those little ones. That discussion will no longer happen in their home.
Especially with the globalization of the world eventually no one will be one race and hopefully we will all see each other as equal.

Amen finally a forum with no quarells! Cherie you did it! Everyone here had good comments no arguements! You know why because we see the big picture! The world is changing right b4 our eyes! We have a black president although I don't agree with most of his choices! We have our 1st hispanic supreme court judge sotomayor even though she was under fire! Yepp things are lookning good 4 minorities these days! But if chtist is not the main focus 4 me @ least it doesn't mean anything! You guys are awesome!! Bs4c:
ty bold and all I was hoping it would go this way it is something people should talk about, our job as humans is to care for each other, and try to make this world a better place, somtimes its something small, somtimes it is something big, When people take a stand , they start planting seeds, and it spreads.
I am mixed myself! My father is black and my mother is Italian (white). Thankfully growing up I never had any issues and I had friends that were white and friends that were black. Color should never be an issue! And here I am, mixed and married to a very pale skinned, red head! lol. (we always bust on eachother about it) My poor hubby can't tan for anything. And now my son has reddish hair and is very light. (doesn't even look mixed or like me!) I think children, no matter what the race, are all precious! People who are prejudice, need to look beyond color...it means nothing! It's what's on the inside that really counts. When my parents got married, it was a BIG deal then. But eventually my grandparents got over it and accepted it! My one uncle stopped talking to us because he couldn't believe his sister (my mom) would marry my dad and actually have little "n" words he said!!! To this day, I hope I never run into him. But I do pray for him and maybe one day he will change. We are all human, we all have feelings and emotions, what makes one race better than the other?
I would pray that all the nonsense about skin color is behind us all. I know it isnt, but it should be. To judge anyone for the color of the skin to me is ignorant. God made us all, therefore we are all equal! I hate people that put themselves above others like they be better somehow! They are not but seem to be the only ones that doesnt know it yet!
Amen teko(mom)! No race is better than the next one! Sad 2 say not everyone thinks like that! But we here @ this forum that have posted here can make a difference! & I believe that we have already! Look @ each others response no arguing! Just food 4 thought! Bs4c:
