homemade apple cider...........no clue how they make it either!!!!
Isnt that called a Tom and Jerry??
Mine is a liquor called sambuca or oozo (it's gorgeous!)
LOL when I make it I just drink it oh yeah make sure to add cinnamon or some kind of sweet spice to it
Around here people like it with peppermint spice
I offer three drinks before dinner. Because it's usually cold we have Peppermint Patties before dinner which is hot chocolate with peppermint liquor and Tom & Jerry's and Irish Coffee. Many of my guests have just come out of the woods from deer hunting and are chilled to the bone. With dinner we have good dry white wine.....and a red robust sweet wine for a few that are wussies and can't take the "dry white."
Hot cider is nice and you can simmer it with a cinnamon stick and/or some whole cloves to spice it up. You can then spike it with rum or just serve it with no alcohol.
I have'nt had Irish coffee in years, we used to pour the cream after whipping the air into it over a spoon in the glass to stop it breaking, do you do that maybe I will make them this year .
Mulled wine can be good. Some grocery stores and definitely IKEA carry this. It takes great and has no alcohol unless you mix it with red wine. It is good either way - just warm up and serve.
Sangria or a nice white or blush wine, whatever I'm in the mood for.
Y'all are fancy. We don't tend to serve alcohol with dinner, most favor milk, but my redneck dh and in-laws crack a beer or three after supper and commence farting and grunting at the television while us womenfolk clean the kitchen and tend to the chil'en.
That being said I would really enjoy a nice cup of coffee with a splash of Bailey's, a splash of Kahlua, and a splash of cream after dinner. Mmmm, sounds yummy!
a pomegranite Martini very good.
