"Come and pick me up mom . . my friends want to walk home and it's too late @ night and in an isolated area... just come and get me & pretend I texted you with a migraine headache and don't feel well..."
When her friends approached the car I said, "don't throw up in the car with your headache, and why don't the rest of you hop in for a ride home" .. they all jumped in.
Yep.
That tells it all.
To teach others:
If your kids are ever in a situation that it's immediate need for you, have them text you with the code "911" and that means .. come get me -- no questions asked. Or it means this is really important and be sure to read the text mom. PS .. mine have never used it [yet] but came close once.
