I was 6.. My friends older brother told us.
When Swampy was little, his parents told him there wasn't a Santa Claus or an Easter Bunny.
Swampy prayed to God that they were wrong.
Then they told him there was no God.
(just kidding!!!)
I don't remember for me....but I DO remember playin' along for my Mom's sake long after I stopped believing.
I remember some damed Jehovah's Witness kid tellin' MY daughter there was no Santa Claus in Kindergarten though. She told her that parents just make up all that stuff. I told MY kid all kinds of things about the Jehovah's Witnesses then.
You mean Santa isn't real? Noooooooooooo..........
the really mean kids told me in 4 th grade i think i was 8
Either my sister or brother told me, I was about 7 yea rold I was upset and didnt believe them, still dont !!
I don't remember how old I was but I tell my kids they have to believe to receive. I hope they never stop believing!!!
ON CHRISTMAS EVE when I was in the third grade! I was sneaking out of bed because I thought I heard something and my Mom was bringing in gifts from her car. She was so pis*ed because I was being sneaky and told me, "Look, there is no Santa Clause - I am it... Merry Christmas! Go back to bed...."
I was 9 or 10 and it was right before Christmas. Mom thought I was asking too many questions, told me he wasn't real and not to ruin it for my younger siblings. I was destroyed. I cried a long time. Santa was my hero.
My husband says he figured out he wasn't real eventually, but never stopped believing, because if you don't believe you don't get anything either.
I think I kind of figured it out. I don't remember what age I was. It was at a time I figured the Easter Bunny can't be real. I mean come on, bunnies don't lay eggs and go around to every house delivering them.
I held onto Santa a little longer, but it didn't seem very realistic. I asked my mom and she let me know the truth. I don't remember being very upset over it.
I was CONVINCED he was REAL...EVERYONE in my class (GR.5) knew he wasn't BUT me... My parents got us gooooooddd.....
One year, on Easter....we alllll went out together and we alllll came home together, and we got home, the Easter Bunny had Been to our house (To a 6 year old, there was no other logical explanation for this...) BUT...what I hadn't thought of was...when we all went out together, we went to friends house (a few blocks away) and we stayed there REALLY late...so I fell asleep, and when I fell asleep, my dad and his buddy went back to our house and hid the eggs etc... ANYWAYS...no way to explain this other than the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus are REAL (which I argued to anyone who even suggested that Santa/ the Easter Bunny wasn't real)!!!
BUT...in the 5th grade, our teacher told us we were going to pretend to be Santa's ELVES and write letters back to the Kindergarten kids who still believed...TO THIS DAY...my mom and dad are ticked at that teacher...if she hadn't have told me, I would still believe!!!!
I was about 7-8 yrs old... I opened the door peeking and saw Mom carrying presents from her room to living room. So that was the day I found out Santa isn't real. I never told Mom about this until few yrs ago I told her about that. *chuckles*
Nobody ever told me - I just figured it out. I'm not sure how old I was - but I was over 10. I loved the magic of believing in Santa!
I don't remember old I was, but I figured it out myself. I did not tell my parents though, and acted as though I still believed because I saw how happy it made my Mom.
I am very upset this thread has messed my life up!! NO SANTA CLAUS!!!!! NO EASTER BUNNY !!!!!
Who has always left me presents under the tree to this day and a easter basket? I can still hear my bell ring that fell off the tree just like the boy can in the Polar Express.
I am calling the North Pole this is ridiculous this thread has destroyed my christmas and my easter
And just think I still sit in Santas lap take a picture and give him my list of things I want guess I wont be getting that cash I asked for this year d@m it
SHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhh I haven't been told yet..........
LMAO!!!! Thank you for that laugh!!!! ;)
THANK YOU!!!
I need as many laughs as anyone could possibly get!!!

Santa wants me to let you know he is real.
He's facing charges for tax evasion, btw. And being Jolly without a license.
