Come on ,,, why didnt you like Hillary...
Darn keybord... correction, Palin versus Hillary next time.
Perhaps it will be Plain versus Hillary next time .!
Well he sounds like a car salesman to me and I am a registered Democrat, who thought a woman, Hillary, would have been a nice change and Hey she isnt as far left as O'Bamabut when you go on about racism what about sexism , hey come on didnt any of you want Hillary in for a woman president?
I didn't finish my thought on the South thing - sorry! MOST of us Southerners don't feel that way and Obama has a huge support from us - the racist thing still exists, but it's NOTHING like it was when I was a kid. THANK GOD! Now, THAT was a scary time. The Bubba's in TN are not a good example of what it's really like down here.
Rach
It is scary to think about something happening to anyone - much less our President. I live in the South, and you would think that most feel the same way as the idiots in theTennessee prison that attempted to start the attempt to kill Obama - I am just relieved that it was foiled. We have to hope that in the continuing months/years that those who protect him stay as aware of the threats and continue to stop these idiots.
We also have to pray for him and his family. Of course, it's no secret that I am a huge Obama supporter, but mainly I am an American - and I hope that whomever is elected is safe and can help us all in this day of uncertainty.
Racist behavior is something that isn't new to us - and relatively, Obama has created a greater sense of awareness and the respect that an intelligent man (who happens to be African American) deserves. I think this is a time to embrace our advancement in these areas, and not give the racists an avenue to intimidate us.
Be strong - we will get through it.
There are going to be issues, no matter who is elected. That is definitely scary, though. No one deserves to be on a hit-list. It's not our job to take another's life. I personally am NOT an Obama fan at all. But I still feel badly because I had a feeling that something like this might happen because of his race (and NO I do not want something to happen to him).
I dont want to start trouble here......just was stating how scary it is that its still a problem. I agree with you suzi-q its sickening. I cant wait for this whole election to be done with. I know we'll get through it, but its just the fact that everything is getting so heated bothers me, why cant it just be peacful there is so much hatred in the world that I cant seem to grasp. I know its just the way of the world. Its depressing and scary. I hope times will get better and I hope I can support whoever is elected. I think I may just vote for Obama because it would be a change, something this country needs but at the same time-as I said- I dont get into all that political stuff- I dont have a clue as to what Obama is even for and against and what they all claim for this country. Maybe I should get more into it, seeing I do live in America and I should stand up for what I believe in. But sometimes Im just so tired of hearing all the ****. I feel like they all fill our heads with broken promises.
THe reason we should be on our knees begging God to keep Obamam from office has nothing to do with race, but everything to do with the fact that his views and policies are socialist, anti life, anti freedom and we are going to be in a world of trouble if he is elected into office!
How can American people vote into office a man who will not even pledge allegience to the flag of our country? He will not sing the national anthem either!! Thats absolutely ludicris! These are the least of his socialist, anit life, anti freedom ideas!! Scary indeed!!! God have mercy on this country!!!!!
I think it is totally disgusting how people act in this day and age, and you are right, it is downright scary. I totally disagree with Obama and all of his views, but the thought of racism that is still "out there" sickens me. This man has the right to run for President just as much as anyone else. That is what our country is built on.
The sad truth is that there is still much predjudice in this world. There is hatred among religions, color, obestity, sex, sexual orientation, and the list goes on...
It is a very scary world...
I know it is sad to see how backwards people still think.
Lizzie Lou, I feel the same way if the Republican wins!! I am all for Obama...
if obama wins...you SHOULD be scared for your and your children's future ! ! ! !
buyer beware!
I understand you wanting you and you children safe. remember these guys have been around for a long time and haven't hurt you or you family or me :) In raising my son.. we had the same things out there. Just stay in the moment and try not to project the future. Live love and laugh with them. This happened to a couple of presidents in my time. we got through it ..and you will 2. I will support whoever wins. It's not about race or anything other than who are the candidates for me.
Just rest well and don't watch the news as much. It can make many upset. I choose to tune out anything as it becomes upsetting.
sadly there still is ignorance in the world..whats good most of your skin head types arent the brightest bulb of the pack.. i am not voting for sen. obama but if he wins i will support him as our president.. and ur right anxious we should accept everyone no matter what their skin color or sexual preference be
