cant beleive what i just saw on the news

earlier we were talking about all the bad things you see in this age of 24 hour news..well i was flipping through the channels, and saw a CNN report where yesterday this 11 year old boy shot this pregant woman to death. I am not surewhere it happened but now he is in the county jail facing murder charges. What is happening to our society?? There is also the story of the boy who killed his father not sure how old he was but i do know he was younger then 15..It just totally blows my mind that these things are going on? I guess if you beleive in what the Bible teaches, the book of Revalition is coming true!!!

We have been living terrible times since long before we were born. War, hatred, murder and envy have always existed.  Nations became powerful through war and barbarism. Nations such as Rome and Greece conquered rich countries known to the world by killing husbands and brothers and sons…

One thing I sometimes think of is, when the Bible refers to the last days as being the most terrible of human kind, is God referring to the days that came after Jesus died?

I don`t recall who invented TV and video games but that`s where it all started in my opinion. How can schools and churches hold up against the permanent drizzle of senseless information and infiltration coming from those boxes. Generations of parents have spent decades glued to the TV and kids know nothing but virtual reality anymore. It is so easy to sprinkle some virtual violence and wicked values into their world - and suddenly some monsters come to life. I have no hope that the Bible will be strong enough to avoid doomsday for societies.

I agree. The things I have seen change in my life time is unreal. My aunt that raised me would be pretty old over 100 if living. I told my children if she could come back right now, she would think she was on Mars or someplace other than Earth.She was a young person and they were using the horse and buggy, raised in the country.Her dad was a farmer.People from back then would first have thrown out the tv, then thrown the people running the school system that removed God.There would be no naked females with the strip up the butt walking on a beach.When I came up there was a lot of respect taught and you sure did not want to come home with a note from the teacher. It is just unreal. We never locked our doors when we left home, or during the day. It was serious business when you got your butt whipped for misbehaving, so you would not care to come back for seconds. Those whippings never hurt us, it taught us. Now, the kids call the law if they don't like your tone of voice.Give me back the good ole days. I have said before, If I were God looking down at Earth, I would be crying. He has given us everything and look what we have done on this Earth.Jesus said, the world hated me and they will hate you. How true.Jesus is a word that drives people to some very bad reactions. There is a lot of power in his name after all the years that have passed.

jollyman, I have a book you might want to read. It's called "Storming Towards Armagedon, Essays in Apocalypse" by Texe Marrs, Tim Layhaye, David Breese and David A. Lewis. It might be hard to find because it's about 15 or 16 years old but I read it right after I came back to God and it sent chills down my spine. I couldn't put the book down and it's a thick book! It talks about the prophesies in Revelations, Daniel and others and those that came true and how they relate to today. It's a good book!

But you are correct. We've been seeing prophesies being fulfilled in our generation and it seems to be happening faster and faster.
The Bible does say that a child will turn against his parents and the parents against the child and that natural love will grow cold. Read this scripture and tell me this doesn't relate to this generation more than any other in history:

"But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them." 2 Timothy 3:1-9

Well, what did we expect. The bible tells us what would happen. I guess we did not take it seriously. We took God out of schools, took a parents right to parent away, took God out of the government, look what a mess that is! Well, now we are paying the piper! Makes ya wonder what the next 20 will look like.:(
