My mom ruled with an iron hand and a heart of a saint... in fact, she still does.
And, there's no one in this world who can push my emotional buttons the way she can.
She's the best!
My mom is also no longer here on Earth with me but I think of her every single day. Today I think about what was so special about her. It was the way she made me feel about myself. Oh, how I miss that. On Mother's Day every year I spend some time reflecting and remembering and during that time I feel her warmth and love again and I feel as I did as a little girl. Can't wait to see her again as I believe I will.
As a mother myself . . . my husband took a picture of my firstborn and I on my first mother's day. He and I are smiling our faces off as I was so full of joy that my dream of motherhood had come true! I keep that picture in a frame as I remember so well how I felt that day. We still take a picture of me and the kids every year on this day-------- I'm so filled with pride at having created these two lovely boys. I love those Mother's Day pictures and the feelings behind them. I hope they always love me as they do now when they are little!
I'd have to say my MIL is the best! She keeps such a good eye and tabs on her 2 youngest ones! Unlike my family its whatever the teenagers run wild and free and no1 give a damn what they do and children need discpline! So i praise my MIL for standing her ground and raising 5 boys to be real adults!! My husband is a great man and thats because she stood firm and never let her guard down and today she does the same!
My Mom has passed. But all of us 10 kids thank her for being the meanest mother in the world. Yep, we even made a plaque for her one year. None of us have been in jail , no drugs, etc, and we all turned out pretty good. Thanks Mom! Miss You! Love You Bunches!
